Adjusting the chin and neck strap
The chin strap's quick release ensures easy opening and fastening of the chin
strap. Grasp the helmet with both hands on the chin-neck strap and pull it
over your head from the forehead. If necessary, adjust the head width and
fasten the chinstrap with the quick release fastener.
The neck strap must be tight under the ears and at
the back of the head. A clamp buckle is provided on
the right side (from the perspective of the wearer)
to adjust the length of the neck strap.
The length of the chinstrap can be adjusted
individually for different face shapes at two positions.
The length of the vertical belts can be adjusted using
the sliders on the left and right.
It is also possible to adjust the chin strap's length
under the chin by loosening or tightening the Velcro.
These two adjustment options allow the position
of the mortise lock to be shifted so that it rests in
the most comfortable position for the wearer. The
chinstrap must be snug under the chin.
WARNING: The SCHUBERTH F300 helmet complies with the
requirements of the DIN EN 443:2008 standard on the retention system if
the chin strap supplied by the manufacturer has been worn and adjusted in
accordance with these instructions.
