- Keep your workplace in order. A messy
workplace can cause a work injury.
- Beware of environmental factors. Do not
leave the machine in the rain, and do not
use it in a wet or humid environment.
Ensure good lighting at your workplace
and do not use the machine near fl am-
mable liquids or gases. Do not put the
hot machine into an environment where
ignition might occur, and keep the ma-
chine clean.
- Check the portable cord regularly and
have it replaced at an authorised serv-
ice centre if damaged. Do not use the
portable cord to carry the machine or to
pull the plug out of the socket. Protect
the cord from high temperatures, oil and
movement across sharp edges.
- Take good care of the tools. Only sharp,
clean tools allow you to work better and
safer. Do not use tools that are defective,
blunt or of the wrong size. Follow the in-
structions for maintenance and replace-
ment of the tools.
- If you are not using the machine, during
repair or tool replacement, unplug the
portable cord.
- Before switching the machine on, check
that the plate is secured properly and
that the chain is correctly tightened.
- Avoid unintentionally starting the ma-
chine. Do not carry the machine plugged-
in with your fi nger on the on/off button.
Also, make sure that the on/off button
is off before plugging the machine in.
Never carry the machine with the chain
moving.
- Avoid getting the switch stuck in the ON
position.
- Keep the grips and handles clean and free
off any oil, grease, resin, etc.
- In open areas, use only permissible and
appropriately marked extension cords.
Regularly check the extension cord and
when it is damaged, replace it immedi-
ately.
- Be careful. Pay attention to what you are
doing. Start your work reasonably and
calmly. Do not use the machine until you
have full concentration.
- During work, keep your body in a normal
working position. Have a fi rm working
stance and always maintain your bal-
ance.
- You must check all safety covers and ac-
cessories, as well as the moving parts
before each use of the machine. All the
parts must be properly assembled, and
all conditions for proper operation of the
machine must be met. Any damaged
safety covers and accessories must be
professionally repaired or replaced in
an authorised service centre. Damaged
switches must be replaced by an author-
ised service centre. Do not use the ma-
chine if the switch cannot be turned on
and off.
- Place the portable cord so that the ma-
chine cannot snag it and so it does not
pose any additional danger, e.g., stum-
bling.
- When not using the machine, always have
the protective chain cover on; the same
applies when carrying the machine.
- Once the cut is fi nished and the machine
is switched off, keep the machine in the
working position until the tool stops com-
pletely.
- We recommend putting the machine on
the guide runner. This will help you avoid
potential damage to the chain and the
guide bar.
- While the machine is operating, all peo-
ple, especially children, must stay clear
of the work area. These unauthorised
persons must not be allowed to touch
the machine or its electrical cord.
- When you are not using the machine,
keep it in a safe, dry, locked location out
of the reach of children and unauthorised
individuals.
- Do not use the machine for any purpose
that it is not designed for. Using the ma-
chine as a stationary saw is forbidden.
- Wear suitable tight work clothes. Cut-re-
sistant clothing is recommended. Do not
wear any jewellery, bracelets, watches,
etc., that may get caught in the moving
parts. For work in an open area we rec-
ommend wearing rubber gloves and work
boots with anti-slip soles. If your hair is
long, protect it with a net.
