4.2 Front panel

2. POWER SWITCH
Press this button to start operation.
2. DISC-TRAY
To enter the disc. Please refer to the explanations under 6.2 CD-tray.
3. OPEN/CLOSE BUTTON
Via the Open/Close-button, you can open and close the CD-tray. This button is disabled in play mode.
4. DISPLAY
LC-display for displaying the different modes and functions. Please refer to the explanations under 6.3 LC-
display.
5. SHUTTLE-WHEEL
Via the Shuttle-Wheel, you can quickly scan forwards and backwards. Turn the Shuttle-Wheel to the right in
order to scan forwards and turn it to the left in order to scan backwards. The further you turn the Shuttle-
Wheel the higher the scanning-speed. In pause-mode, the current frame is repeated as soon as you turn the
Shuttle-Wheel.
6. JOG-WHEEL
Use this Jog-wheel for scanning, manual search, changing the playback-speed, Cue functions.
(1) Turn the Jog-wheel to the right in order to search forwards and turn it to the left in order to search
backwards. The faster you turn the Jog-wheel the higher the searching-speed.
(2) In pause mode, the current frame is repeated as soon as you turn the Jog-wheel. Please refer to the
explanations under 6.7 Cueing.
7. TRACK-BUTTONS
Via the Track-buttons, you can select the desired track. Please refer to the explanations under 6.5 Selecting
a track via the Track-buttons.
8. CUE-BUTTON
(1) In pause-mode, you can cue by pressing and holding the Cue-button. As soon as you release the Cue-
button, the player returns to the track-start or the Cue-point.
(2) If you press the Cue-button during playback, the player returns to the track-start or the Cue-point and
goes into Pause-mode. Please refer to the explanations under 6.7 Cueing.
9. PLAY/PAUSE-BUTTON
With the Play/Pause-button, you can start the playback and stop it again. Please refer to the explanations
under 6.4 Play/Pause.
10. LOOP IN -BUTTON
Press the Loop-button to set the starting point of a sequence. Press the Loop-button again to set the end
point of this sequence. The CD-player now repeats the sequence between the two points until you press the
Loop-button once more. Please refer to the explanations under 6.8 Memorizing a sequence (Loop-function).
