Nach VDI 2035, Blatt 1 „Vermeidung von Schäden in Warmwasser-Heizungsanlagen" ist das Füll- und Ergän-

zungswasser von Heizungsanlagen nach DIN EN 12828 aufzubereiten (vorzugsweise zu enthärten), falls unten
genannte Anforderungen an die Wasserqualität nicht erfüllt werden, d.h. immer, wenn der in Tab.1 genannte
Grenzwert durch die regionale Wasserhärte überschritten wird, muß eine reflex 'fillsoft' zur Wasserenthärtung
eingesetzt werden. Für Brennwert- und Gaswandheizkessel ist die Enthärtung besonders zu empfehlen, da durch
die Verhinderung von Kalkablagerungen an der Kesselwand der hohe Wirkungsgrad der Anlage sichergestellt wird.
Das spezifische Anlagenvolumen ist immer auf die kleinste Kesselleistung (bei Mehrkesselanlagen) zu beziehen.
Nahezu jeder wandhängende Kessel fällt unter die Definition eines Umlaufheizers.
According to VDI 2035, part 1 "Prevention of damage in water heating installations", the water used for filling or

make-up heating installations is to be treated in accordance with DIN EN 12828 (preferably to be softened), if the
water quality requirements named below are not met, that is in any case the limit value mentioned in table 1 is
exceeded by the local water hardness, a reflex 'fillsoft' must be used for water softening. Softening is especially
recommended for condensing boilers and wall-mounted gas-boilers, as the prevention of lime deposits on the
boiler wall will safeguard the high level of efficiency of the installation. The specific system volume always refers to
the lowest boiler capacity (with multiple boiler systems). Almost any wall-mounted boiler comes under the definition
of a recirculation heater.

Die Enthärtungsarmatur reflex 'fillsoft' ist eine kompakte Einheit, die in die Nachspeisestrecke unmittelbar

hinter dem nach DIN EN 1717 geforderten Systemtrenner eingebaut wird. Das Nachfüllwasser wird über ein
saures, hocheffizientes Ionentauscherharz geführt, wobei die Härtebildner Ca- und Mg-Ionen gegen Na-Ionen
ausgetauscht werden. Somit kann keine Ca- oder Mg-Verbindung (z. B. Kalk) im Kreislauf ausfallen.
Je nach Anlagengröße wird die Enthärtungsarmatur mit 1 ('fillsoft I') oder 2 Patronen ('fillsoft II') verwendet.
Unter Annahme einer jährlichen Leckagemenge (natürlicher Wasserverlust plus Wasserverlust durch Repa-
ratur und Sanierungsmaßnahmen) von max. 10 % des Anlagenvolumens wird der Einsatzbereich der beiden
Enthärtungspatronen wie folgt empfohlen:
'fillsoft I' (Art.-Nr. 6811600)
'fillsoft II' (Art.-Nr. 6811700)
Bei kleineren Anlagen (<100 kW) kann die Erstbefüllung der Anlage über die reflex 'fillsoft' erfolgen. Ersatzpa-
tronen 'fillsoft' FP (Art.-Nr. 6811800 → S. 12) sind dann für die Erstbefüllung vorzusehen.

The 'fillsoft' water softening fitting is a compact unit, which is installed into the feed line right after the system

separator required by DIN EN 1717. The make-up water is taken through an acid, highly efficient ion exchange
resin, in the process of which the hardness-forming calcium and magnesium ions are replaced by sodium ions.
As a result it is not possible for any calcium or magnesium compound (such as lime) to be deposited in the cir-
cuit. The water softening fitting is used with 1 ('fillsoft I') or 2 cartridges ('fillsoft II'), depending on the size of the
system. Assuming a maximum annual leakage volume (natural water loss plus water loss resulting from repair
and renewal measures) of 10 % of the volume of the system, the areas of application for the two water softe-
ning cartridges are recommended as follows:
'fillsoft I' (Art.-No. 6811600)
'fillsoft II' (Art.-No. 6811700)
In the case of smaller installations (<100 kW), initial filling can be carried out using the reflex 'fillsoft'.
Replacement 'fillsoft' FP (Art.-No. 6811800 → p. 12) cartridges are then to be provided for initial filling.
