Cutting with Guide Bushing
The guide bushing 8 enables template and
pattern routing on workpieces.
Assembly of the guide bushing
For assembly, attach the guide bushing 8 onto
the bottom of the base plate 6.
Cutting:
Switch the machine on and set the guide bush-
ing 8 against the template. With the guide
bushing projecting and applying light sideward
pressure, guide the machine along the tem-
plate.
Operating Instructions
s Always work in clockwise direction.
s The machine can be used only for cuts in
material up to 25 mm thickness.
s Do not brake the run of the machine by
pressing the spindle lock button 2.
s Keep the tool holding fixture and the
base plate clean at all times.
Use the right cutting tools in respect to the ma-
terials to be machined.
Cut-outs of any shape are possible without
pre-drilling. This is done by plunging the cut-
ting tool into the material with the machine run-
ning.
Place the machine with the edge of the base
plate onto the workpiece at an angle of approx.
45° and switch it on. Swiftly plunge the cutting
tool into the workpiece. (see figure
After reaching the required cutting depth, turn
the machine to its normal working position
again with the entire base plate contacting the
surface. Continue to cut along the cutting line.

After completing the cut, switch off the ma-
chine first and then pull it out of the cut.

s Before any work on the machine itself,
pull the mains plug.

For safe and proper working, always
keep the machine and the ventilation
slots clean. Clean the tool holding fixture
and base plate after every tool change.
If the machine should fail despite the care
taken in manufacturing and testing proce-
dures, repair should be carried out by an after-
sales service centre for Bosch power tools.
In all correspondence and spare parts orders,
please always include the 10-digit order
number given on the nameplate of the ma-
chine.
WARNING! Important instructions for con-
necting a new 3-pin plug to the 2-wire ca-
ble.
The wires in the cable are coloured according
to the following code:
strain relief
live = brown
neutral = blue
Do not connect the blue or brown wire to the
earth terminal of the plug.
Important: If for any reason the moulded plug
is removed from the cable of this machine it
must be disposed of safely.
