Dust/Chip Extraction
The dust that is produced while working
can be detrimental to health, inflammable
or explosive. Suitable safety measures are
required.
Examples: Some dusts are regarded as
carcinogenic. Use suitable dust /chip ex-
traction and wear a dust respirator.
Dust from light alloys can burn or explode. Al-
ways keep the workplace clean, as blends of
materials are particularly dangerous.
The machine can be plugged directly into the
receptacle of a Bosch all-purpose vacuum
cleaner with remote control starting. The vac-
uum cleaner starts automatically when the ma-
chine is switched on.
The vacuum cleaner must be suitable for the
material to be worked.
When vacuuming dry dust that is especially
detrimental to health or carcinogenic, use a
special vacuum cleaner.
For external dust extraction with a vacuum
cleaner, a suction adapter must be used as re-
quired (see accessories). Insert extraction
adapter and vacuum-hose neck firmly.
For vertical surfaces, work in such a manner
that the extraction hose faces downward.
Mounting/Dismounting the
Extraction Connection
s Before any work on the machine itself,
pull the mains plug.
Assembly:
With the gap pointing to the wing screw 5, slide
the extraction connection 7 onto the base
plate 6 until it can be heard to engage.
Disassembly:
Pull the extraction connection 7 from the base
plate 6.

Circle Cutter (Accessory)
s Before any work on the machine itself,
pull the mains plug.
Mounting (see figure
– Firstly, disassemble the cutting tool.
– For mounting of the circle cutter 14 (acces-
sory) we recommend taking off the base
plate 6.
– Fasten the arm of the circle cutter 15 to the
base plate 6 with the scale facing upward.
For this, set the base plate 6 on the arm of
the circle cutter 15 so that it is positioned
centered over the spring key 16. Press the
spring key 16 downward. Slide the base
plate onto the arm of the circle cutter and re-
lease the spring key as soon as it is pressed
down via the base plate 6. Continue sliding
the base plate until it is securely locked by
the spring key 16.
– Insert the centring pin 17 into the guide. Ad-
just the required radius at the scale with the
centring pin 17 and lock it with the locking
nut 20. The reading of the scale on the arm
of the circle cutter 15 corresponds with the
radius of the circle to be cut. Depending on
the radius required, the centring pin can be
turned by 180°.
– Assemble the base plate 6 with the circle
cutter 14 mounted.
– Insert the cutting tool.
Disassembly
– Pull off the circle cutter from the base plate.
Work Cycle
– Using the power tool, pre-drill a hole in the
centre of the circle to be cut.
– Assemble the circle cutter 14 and position
the centring pin into the pre-drilled hole of
the circle. Tilt the machine by approx. 45°
for this.
– Switch the power tool on. For cutting, slowly
place the machine onto the workpiece. For
this, hold the power tool securely by the
auxiliary handle 1 with one hand and by the
circle cutter handle 19 with the other.
High reaction torque can occur when plac-
ing the power tool onto the workpiece.
