connected to the socket without being
forced. Ne ver touch a live electric cable if
it is poor ly insulated. If the extension lead
gets da maged during use, do not touch
the ca ble and unplug the extension lead
im me dia tely.

10) Stop the motor and unplug the machine
from the mains:
– whenever you leave the machine un­
attended;
– before cleaning, checking or working
on the machine;
– after striking a foreign object. Inspect
the machine for any damage and make
repairs before restarting it again;
– if the machine starts to vibrate abnor­
mally: find the cause of the vibration
imme dia tely and have it inspected at a
Spe cia li sed Centre;
– when the machine is not in use.

1. USING THE MACHINE

2. REGULATING THE HANDGRIP (Fig. 3)
The rear handgrip (1) can be adjusted to 5 different
positions in relation to the cutting device to make
trimming your hedges easier.

– Rotate the rear handgrip (1) to the desired pos-
ition.
– Before using the machine check that the re-
lease lever (2) has correctly returned to its ori-
ginal position, and the rear handgrip is firmly
attached.

leased. The switch can be pressed when the re-
lease lever has correctly returned to its original
position, and the handgrip is fitted in one of the 5 
possible positions.
NOTE
rear handgrip must always be in a vertical
position, whatever the position of the cutting
de vi ce (3).

3. WORKING TECHNIQUES

It is recommended to trim the two vertical sides of
the hedge before trimming the top.
• Vertical trimming (Fig. 4)
Proceed to cut by using curved movements from
the bottom towards the top, keeping the blade as
far from the body as possible.
• Horizontal trimming (Fig. 5)
