USE

Please, always mind the following when handling the device.
CAUTION: During and after cooking, the inside of the appliance, the food
and the grill underlays are hot. Depending on the type of food, steam may
escape from the appliance.
Always wear oven gloves when handling the appliance.
If necessary, wear long-sleeved clothing to protect body parts from steam
and from hot juices that may possibly escape from the food.
Grip the grill underlays or roasting spit with a heat-resistant food-safe kitchen
utensil to prevent burns.
The appliance works with hot air. Hot air requires lower temperatures and smaller
quantities than oil frying.

Selection of the grill underlay

Choose the type and quantity of the grilled goods and the appropriate grill underlay:
• Use the grill grate for individual items, such as chicken wings or pizza.
• Use the frying basket to cook larger quantities such as nuggets or French fries.
• The roasting spit is ideal for cooking fatty foods such as grilled chicken and foods
that should not lie on the underlay.
Always align the food to be grilled on the grill underlay so that the individual pieces do
not touch each other in order to cook all pieces evenly.
NOTE: Cooking with hot air is particularly suitable for dry baked goods such as biscuits,
rolls and pizza.
Using the grill grate or frying basket
1 Press the button Start/Stop to turn the appliance off.
CAUTION: Before proceeding to the next step, make sure the grill underlay
is not hot. If the grill underlay is hot, use oven gloves and heat-resistant food-
safe kitchen utensils to move the grill underlay.
2 Remove the grill underlay and place it on a clean heat-resistant food-safe work
surface.
NOTE: Many foods increase in size by up to 2 cm (0.8 inches) when cooking.
