Sehr geehrte Kundin, sehr geehrter Kunde
Vielen Dank, dass Sie sich für ein Qualitätsprodukt aus dem Hause Dentaurum
entschieden haben.
Damit Sie dieses Produkt sicher und einfach zum größtmöglichen Nutzen für sich und die
Patienten einsetzen können, muss diese Gebrauchsanweisung sorgfältig gelesen und
beachtet werden.
In einer Gebrauchsanweisung können nicht alle Gegebenheiten einer möglichen
Anwendung beschrieben werden. Deshalb steht Ihnen unsere Hotline gerne für Fragen
und Anregungen zur Verfügung.
Aufgrund der ständigen Weiterentwicklung unserer Produkte empfehlen wir Ihnen
auch bei häufiger Verwendung des gleichen Produktes immer wieder das aufmerksame

2. Verarbeitungsschritte
2.1. Zahnvorbehandlung
Prüfen Sie jeden Zahn sorgfältig auf eventuell vorhandene Schmelzschädigungen,

+49 72 31 / 803 - 555 um Zahnschädigungen beim Debonding zu vermeiden. Bitte beachten Sie für die
Konditionierung der Zähne die Herstellerangaben des jeweils verwendeten Bracket-

Adhäsives.
2.2. Bracket-Adhäsivauswahl
Sie können discovery
befestigen. Wir empfehlen CONTEC lc (REF 163-111-00), ConTec Go! (REF
163-321-00) und SmartBond
Herstellerangaben des jeweiligen Bracket-Adhäsives.
2.3. Entnahme und Handhabung
Fassen Sie discovery
REF 025-280-00) mesial-distal, um sie aus der Verpackung zu entnehmen und
gemäß folgender Arbeits schritte zu handhaben. Die patentierte laserstrukturierte
Basis der discovery ®
in irgendeiner Weise kontaminiert werden, da sonst die Haftung negativ beeinflusst
werden könnte.
2.4. Anwendung des Bracket-Adhäsives
Das jeweilige Bracket-Adhäsiv wird gemäß den Herstellerangaben vorbereitet. Tragen
Sie eine geringfügige, aber für die Benetzung der gesamten Bracketbasis ausreichende
Menge auf die Mitte der Bracketbasis auf. Dies garantiert eine optimale Haftung.
2.5. Applikation der Brackets – Direkt Bonding
Nach dem Aufbringen des Adhäsives platzieren Sie das discovery
wie gewohnt auf dem Zahn. Richten Sie das discovery
Positionierungs-Tool (REF 023-278-00) optimal aus und drücken es so an, dass
überschüssiges Adhäsiv seitlich an der Bracketbasis austritt.
Antagonistenkontakt ist aufgrund der Abrasionsgefahr und / oder vorzeitigem Bracket-
verlust unbedingt zu vermeiden. Bringen Sie ggf. eine Bisserhöhung durch einen
okklusalen Aufbiss an.
Entfernen Sie vor dem Aushärten das an der Bracketbasis seitlich ausgetretene,
überschüssige Adhäsiv vollständig. Dies ist für ein einfaches Debonding am Ende der
Behandlung von besonderer Bedeutung.
2.6. Applikation der Brackets – Indirekt Bonding
Nach dem Auftragen des Adhäsives platzieren Sie das Übertragungstray mit den
discovery ® delight Lingualbrackets wie gewohnt im Ober- und / oder Unterkiefer.
Entfernen Sie die an der Bracketbasis seitlich ausgetretenen Adhäsivüberschüsse
vollständig. Dies ist für ein einfaches Debonding am Ende der Behandlung von
besonderer Bedeutung.
2.7. Ligieren der Bögen
Nach Aushärtung des Adhäsives (Aushärtungszeit gemäß Herstellerangaben des
jeweiligen Adhäsives beachten) können Sie die Lingualbögen wie üblich mit Draht- oder
Kunststoff ligaturen ligieren.
2.8. Bracket-Debonding
Die ausgezeichneten Hafteigenschaften von discovery
im Rahmen des Debondings besonderer Beachtung:
Das Debonding der discovery
Zange (z. B. REF 003-120-00) vornehmen. Fassen Sie die Brackets mesial-distal an den
Flügeln und drehen Sie das Bracket dann mit einer kurzen Links- oder Rechtsdrehung
ohne Zug vom Zahn.
3. Angaben zur Zusammensetzung
Die Zusammensetzung entnehmen Sie bitte der KFO-Werkstoffliste, siehe
Katalog, bzw. www.dentaurum.com.
4. Sicherheitshinweise
Sollten auf einen oder mehrere der Inhaltsstoffe allergische Reaktionen bekannt sein,
darf das Produkt nicht angewendet werden.
5. Lagerung und Haltbarkeit

6. Hinweise für Produkte zum einmaligen Gebrauch
discovery delight Lingualbrackets sind nur zur einmaligen Verwendung vorgesehen.
®
Aufgrund der mechanischen Beanspruchungen während der Behandlung und beim
Debonding können weder Maßhaltigkeit noch Haftungseigenschaften der Brackets
nach dem Recyclingprozess gewährleistet werden.
Die Wiederaufbereitung eines einmal benutzten discovery
(Recycling) sowie dessen erneute Anwendung am Patienten ist nicht zulässig.
7. Sonstige Hinweise
• Die technischen Informationen wie Torque, Angulation, Größe etc. entnehmen Sie
bitte dem jeweiligen Produkt-Etikett oder den Katalogangaben.
• Es bestehen keine besonderen Vorsichtsmaßnahmen bei Entsorgung der discovery
delight Lingualbrackets nach der Behandlung.

2. Working steps
2.1. Conditioning teeth
Carefully examine each tooth for enamel damages to avoid damaging the teeth during
debonding. Follow the manufacturer's instructions of the bracket adhesive for
conditioning the teeth.
2.2. Selecting bracket adhesive
discovery ® delight lingualbrackets can be bonded using all commercially available
bracket adhesives. We recommend CONTEC lc (REF 163-111-00), ConTec Go! (REF
163-321-00) and SmartBond (REF 163-506-00). Please follow the manufacturer's
®
instructions for the bracket adhesive being used.
2.3. Removing and handling brackets
Grasp discovery ® delight lingual brackets mesio-distally using clamping tweezers
(e.g. REF 025-280-00) to remove them from the packaging and handle them according
to the following steps. The patented laser-structured surface of discovery
brackets should not be touched or contaminated in any way, as this could otherwise
detrimentally affect the bond.
2.4. Applying bracket adhesive
Prepare adhesive according to the manufacturer's instructions. Apply a small amount
of adhesive to the center of the bracket base, but enough to cover the entire bracket
base. This guarantees optimal bond.
2.5. Placing brackets – Direct bonding
After applying the adhesive, place the discovery
way on the tooth. Align discovery delight lingual brackets using the positioning tool
®
(REF 023-278-00) and press the bracket in the usual way onto the tooth until the
adhesive exudes from the sides of the bracket base.
Avoid contact with the antagonist due to the risk of abrasion and / or premature
bracket loss. If necessary, use a palatal bite raise.
Completely remove the exuded excess adhesive before it has cured. This is particularly
important to ensure easy debonding at the end of treatment.
2.6. Placing brackets – Indirect bonding
After applying the adhesive, place the transfer tray with the discovery
brackets as usual in the mandible and / or maxilla. Completely remove the exuded
excess adhesive before it has cured. This is particularly important to ensure easy debonding
at the end of treatment.
2.7. Ligating arch wires
Once the adhesive has cured (observe adhesive hardening times in the manufacturer´s
instructions for use), ligate as usual with wire or plastic ligatures.
2.8. Debonding brackets
The excellent bonding properties of discovery
attention during debonding:
For the debonding of discovery ® delight lingual brackets, we recommend using
Weingart pliers (REF 003-120-00). Grasp the bracket mesio-distally by the wings and
remove the bracket from the tooth with a short turn to the right or left side without pulling.

5. Storage and shelf-life
Store discovery delight lingual brackets in closed packaging.

6. Information for single-use products
discovery ® delight lingual brackets are intended for single use only. Due to excessive
mechanical stress during treatment and debonding, the bracket´s dimensional
exactitude and bonding properties can no longer be guaranteed when reused.
Reconditioning of discovery ® delight lingual brackets (recycling) and reuse on patients
are not permitted.
7. Additional tips
• Please review the technical information with reference to torque, angulation, size,
etc. on the product label or in our catalog.
• There are no particular precautions to be taken when disposing of discovery
lingual brackets.
