6. Maintenance

Attention: Always pull out the mains plug before carrying out maintenance and repair
work.
Inspection of the electrical system:
Check the power cable regularly for damage. Remove the housing regularly and
check the internal wiring for any possible defective lines, loose fasteners and
discolouration. Replace damaged cables with new ones.
Pump house:
Check regularly that the pump hose is not bent and is in perfect condition.
Keep the filter clean:
Always operate the device with a clean air filter (C). When using a foam filter that can
be cleaned, suction it off lightly or wash it with water and a mild detergent and dry it
before using it again. When using HEYLO spare filters, the dirty filter must be thrown
away and replaced with a new one. (see Accessories)
Clean the housing:
Clean the housing with a mild detergent and water. Restore the original shine with
a vinyl cleaner and polish.
You can obtain a suitable cleaner from HEYLO.
Keep cooling lines clean:
Dirty cooling lines (A) cannot remove the water efficiently. Check them regularly,
particularly when operating in dusty surrounding.
The lines must be dry for this purpose. At this point, they should be cleaned with
direct compressed air from both sides of the line. DO NOT hold the compressed air
too close to the lines, since the ribs can then be pressed together.
If sticky or oily dirt remains, it must be removed with water. Rinse off the line with a
spray bottle filled with water and some detergent. DO NOT wash off the cooling
line with a hose or a pressure washing device and make sure that no water
penetrates the electrical part.
Remove clinging dirt with a cooling line cleaner which you can obtain from HEYLO.
Follow the instructions on the product exactly.
When cleaning the lines, make sure that the drainage bowl, drainage hose and
filter cover are free of dirt.
