8. Troubleshooting

WARNING: All maintenance work listed below must be carried out with the device
switched off, i.e. with the mains plug pulled out.
PROBLEM
Device does not start
Compressor does not start The device takes 5 minutes to
Fan is not running
De-humidifier functions,
but room does not get dry
Ice or moisture only on

CAUSE
No voltage on the device
Switch not turned on
re-start.
Overload prevents start.

Model Solution
B Connect the device to the socket; check
whether current is running through it. Turn
B switch on
B Switch off device, wait 5 minutes, then
start.
B Reduce room temperature to below 38° C.
HS Replace or repair broken/loose conductor.
Check relay with volt/ampere metre.
HS Contact your dealer or the HEYLO service
centre.
HS Wait for approx. 15 min.
(Display indicates "de-frosting")
B Remove blockage
HS Replace broken conductor
HS Change fan motor
B Take more time to dry out
B Increase air movement with HEYLO turbo
dryers
B Reduce air flow in the areas to be dried.
HS Look for leaking spot with a gas tracking
HS device.
Repair and re-fill system.
B Measure surrounding atmosphere with
HEYLO MMS plus
HS Look for leaking spot with a gas tracking
HS device
HS Check compressor
Contact your dealer or the HEYLO service
centre
B Increase room temperature.
HS Change evaporator sensor
HS Change magnetic valve or coil
HS Change evaporator sensor
B Determine air humidity with a hygrometer.
B Increase room temperature.
B Increase air flow, clean filters and lines.
HS Clean pump and change defective parts if
necessary
HS Change pump
B Clean condensate hose
