5. Operation

1. Only let the dehumidifier function in an upright position.
2. Connect to a 16 A protective contact socket with the correct voltage and power
intensity for the device.
3. Turn the switch (1) to ON. After switching on the device conducts a self-test and
starts after 60 seconds at the latest.
4. Check whether the running noise of the fan and compressor is correct, before
leaving the unit unsupervised.
5. If the device has turned itself off for any reason, wait for five minutes before re-
starting it. Damage to the compressor is thus avoided.
6. Hang the pump drainage hose in a sink, toilet, drain or bucket. Unwind the hose
completely to avoid buckling due to very tight winding up. Make sure that the end
of the condensate hose is in a drain or condensate container and cannot slip out
during operation.
Make sure that any condensate container you use can hold the required amount.
The KT 1800 can dehumidify up to 55 L in 24 hours.
7. Water must be emptied from the pump before the device is moved. Turn the
device OFF for 10 minutes for this purpose, so that the water runs from the cooling
lines into the pump. Then press the PURGE (emptying) switch (3).
8. CAUTION: Check that the dehumidifier is functioning properly daily. Protect the
floors from any water that could possibly leak out.
