TROUBLESHOOTING

CAUTION! Failures of your machine which require larger interference must always
be eliminated by specialized workshop. Unauthorized interferences can cause
damages. If you can not rectify the fault using the measures described here, contact
an authorized service center.
FAULT
Engine
will not start
Having been started,

CAUSE
Opened carburetor choke lever
The spark plug extension is not put on

electrodes
Contaminated or damaged spark plug
Released spark plug extension
or cable
Contaminated fuel screen
Clogged vent in the tank lid

The machine shaft is inhibited with
a foreign article
Clogged system of a cooling air
Too little of engine oil

The tiller shaft blocked with

Check the drive handle string tension.
Drive does not work.
Fixing screws are loosened
MEASURE
Close the carburetor choke lever
Put the spark plug extension on
Clean or replace the spark plug
Set the correct gap between the
electrodes - see Specifications
Pour in the fuel
Replace the old fuel with new
Clean the air filter
Set the correct gap between the
electrodes - see Specifications
Clean or replace the spark plug
Put the spark plug socket
on the spark plug.
Connect the ignition cable
Replace the tank lid
Clean the air filter
Replace the old fuel with new one
Set the correct gap between the
electrodes - see Specifications
Clean the air filter
Remove the foreign articles
from the tiller shaft
Clean the ventilation grid and cooling ribs
Replenish the engine oil
Clean the air filter
Remove the foreign article,
check the tiller shaft for damages
Perform additional adjustment of drive
handle string tension if necessary.
Let the machine checked in a service
point.
Tighten the fixing screws.
