Mode of operation

The NCS contains a magnetic field sensor amongst other things. This
sensor has the property that it changes its electrical resistance when
approached by a permanent magnet. Due to the measuring method used, it
has a large signal-to-noise ratio in relation to external magnetic fields.
The following figure illustrates the functional principle with a rotating magnet.
