CAUTION: Hot wash water!
Danger of burns.
Without power supply to the machine, monitoring of the
appliance door does not function
Ensure that there is no more water in the machine.
Close the water stop-valve.
Switch off the main switch.
Ensure that the drum has come to a standstill (danger of injury!).
Remove the black rubber cover on the left side of the loading door.
Insert a screwdriver into the opening.
Press the lever for the emergency unlocking downward in the inside of the
opening until the door unlocks.
Open the loading door by pulling it.
Press the button «Open door» after unlocking to reset the locking to the
initial state.
Press the start button after a power outage to restart the stopped washing
programme. The programme continues at the spot when the power outage
occurred.
Exception: Disinfection programmes must be restarted from anew to ensure
disinfection.
The prewash button has not been pressed.
The water is below the visible level in the machine. No error.
The laundry was soiled more than assumed.
Remove stains from the laundry before washing.
Wash it at the highest permitted temperature for these textiles.
Select a strong washing programme.
Use sufficient detergent (note the manufacturer's instructions).
This is not due to poor rinse performance of your washing machine.
Insoluble residue can result when phosphate-free detergents are used; these
tend to deposit as bright spots on the laundry.
Let the detergent residues dry, and then brush them off.
Rinse the laundry again (cf. «Programme Overview / Special programmes /
Rinse»).
Use liquid detergent, and select a washing programme with a higher water level
(«Easy care» programme)
The normal amount of detergent is not always sufficient for soiling from oint-
ments, fats or oils.
Increase the detergent dose at the next washing.
Wash it at the highest permitted temperature for the textiles concerned.
These stains may be caused by cosmetics or fabric softener and may have
appeared on the laundry outside the machine before washing.
Some stains can be washed out after soaking in liquid detergent.
Use a softener if the laundry is to be dried in the air after washing.
Dry the laundry in a tumble dryer.
Tissues or similar objects have not been removed from the laundry before washing.
Clean drum and tank with the wash programme «autoClean» (No. 201, without
laundry and detergent).
Laundry has been washed too long at only a low temperature and contains too
many odour-producing germs.
Wash the laundry at 60 °C or the maximum permitted temperature for the
textiles from time to time, and use heavy-duty detergent (with bleach).
Use special low-temperature detergent when you wash at 20 / 30 °C.
Odour-producing germs have accumulated in the washing machine or in the
drain.
Run the maintenance programme «autoClean» (No. 201) from time to time to
clean the machine and process (without laundry and detergent).
