receiving system. When switching off, reverse the order: receiving system first, then the
transmitter.
Check that the control surfaces work in the correct "sense", i.e. they move in the direction
which corresponds to the stick movement.
After each session remove all the batteries from the model and store them in a discharged
state at a temperature of about +5° to +25° C. They should be kept out of the reach of children
at all times.
Please don't misunderstand the purpose of these notes. We only want to make you aware of
the many dangers and hazards which can arise if you lack knowledge and experience, or work
carelessly or irresponsibly. Provided that you take reasonable care, model flying is a highly
creative, instructive, enjoyable and relaxing pastime.
Introduction
The BO 209 MONSUN is an electric-powered RC model aircraft of manageable size, capable of giving
hours of pleasure to any model flyer. The first few flights should be carried out in flat calm conditions,
or only the lightest of breezes.
The model is supplied in very highly pre-fabricated form, but the procedures described in these
instructions must still be carried out with the greatest care to ensure that the model flies successfully
and safely.

RC system
This model should only be flown with an FM radio control system such as the X-412 or mc-10 to mc-
24. To keep the all-up weight as low as possible we recommend a micro-receiver such as the MICRO
R 600. For more information on RC system components please refer to the main FS catalogue or the
operating instructions supplied with your radio control system.
To operate the model you will need the following RC system components:

1 MG 6 charge lead
* In Germany and certain other countries the 35 MHz frequency band is reserved exclusively for model
aircraft.
We strongly recommend that you obtain all the accessories required for the model before you start
building, as many of the parts need to be fitted at particular stages of construction. Check all parts for
fit before installing them, trim where necessary and sand the edges.. Use UHU blitz cyano-acrylate
glue ("cyano") for all joints unless the instructions state otherwise.
