Cause
Electronics module on CPU p.c.b. defective.
Control p.c.b. defective.
Steam cylinder overheated, excess tempera-
ture switch operated.
Ribbon cable (connecting cable between con-
trol and power p.c.b. not connected or defec-
tive.
Connection to heat-sink thermostat of power
board interrupted, cable not connected or
heat-sink thermostat defective.
Power p.c.b. overheated, heat-sink thermo-
stat of power p.c.b. operated.
Connection between float switch assembly
(if available) and power p.c.b. broken or
float switch defective.
Cable harness not correctly engaged.
Water outlet blocked, float switch has operat-
ed.
Main water cock closed.
Filter valve ("Z261") closed or blocked.
Inlet valve does not open, filter blocked in inlet
valve or inlet valve defective.
Level control print not connected.
Water pressure too low.
High duct pressure (steam cylinder empty):
water in the filling cup flows directly to the
drain.
Float of level unit jammed or level control print
defective.
Heating elements defective.
Fuses defective on power p.c.b.
Mains voltage too low or failure of a phase (L1,
L2, L3).
Scale on steam cylinder screen (blocked).
Scale on drain valve (blocked).
Steam line too long or not insulated.
Ribbon cable (connecting cable between con-
trol and power p.c.b.) not connected or defec-
tive.
Control or power p.c.b. defective.
Elimination
Replace CPU p.c.b.
Replace control p.c.b.
Check steam cylinder, drain valve and float of
the level assembly for calcification and clean,
as required. Reset or replace thermostat.
Have connections checked by distributor
(using the "Z245" service box) or replace
flat ribbon cable.
Check connections or replace heat-sink
thermostat.
Check heat-sink, ambient temperature too
high (>40 °C). Check vent openings in
bottom access door an clear, as required.
Check connections or replace float switch,
as required.
Engage cable harness correctly.
Check water outlet (siphon) and clean, if
required.
Open main water cock.
Open or clean filter valve.
Check electrical connection, clean filter or
replace inlet valve.
Connect level control print.
Increase water pressure to humidifier (range
1 - 10 bars).
Check flap valve (if present) or install flap
valve in the supply line.
Replace float and/or level control print.
Replace heating elements.
Replace fuses.
Check mains voltage and connections.
Clean steam cylinder screen.
Clean drain valve, replace if necessary.
Insulate steam line.
Check connections or replace ribbon cable.
Check control and power p.c.b. and replace
if necessary.
