Before starting assembly check the following:
- All hoses and hose connections for tightness (traces of scale) and damage.
- The electrical installation for satisfactory fixing and possible damage (defective
insulation, broken plugs, etc.).
- All components (heating elements, level unit, etc.) for secure fixing.
- All seals (O-ring in drain valve, gasket of steam cylinder cover (Duro-seal) etc.)
for damage.
Important! Gaskets and O-rings must be greased only with original Defensor
grease (article number: see spare parts list in the appendix). Other products may
harm the plastic parts of the unit.
Important! Defective components must be replaced before assembly and loose
parts should be secured.
Fitting the scale collector foil
1. Insert scale collector foil in steam cylinder.
2. Fit steam cylinder strainer.
Fitting the steam cylinder cover

1. Insert cover with heating elements carefully in cylinder.
Warning! Do not forget Duro-seal. This must be clean and fitted correctly in the
rim of the cover (possibly lubricated with Defensor grease).
2. Secure cover with cover clamping ring.
Warning! Ensure that the cover clamping ring is fitted correctly (clamping lock
correctly attached).
Fitting the steam cylinder

1. Insert steam cylinder in unit carefully, align (connecting plug must point for-
wards) and secure with clamping ring.
2. Place steam outlet hose over steam hose nipple and secure with hose clip.
Important! Check correct fitting of steam connection. A leaky steam connec-
tion can lead to moisture damage inside the unit.
3. Connect cable harness.
4. Fit front cover and lock with screwdriver (turn 90° to right).
The humidifier is then ready for further operation. Please observe the relevant details
in section 4.2.
