Dismantling the steam cylinder
Warning! If steam was produced shortly before putting out of service, the steam
cylinder is still hot. Protective gloves should therefore be worn for dismantling work.
• Set humidifier out of operation (see section 4.3).

1. Unlock front cover with screwdriver (turn 90° to left) and remove front cover.
2. Release upper hose clip of steam outlet hose and withdraw connector under-
neath from steam hose nipple.
3. Detach cable harness from plug and suspend in the holder provided for this
purpose.
4. Release clamping ring (steam cylinder fixing) and suspend in the holders
provided for this purpose.
5. Tip steam cylinder forwards and dismantle.
Warning! Shut off steam cylinder carefully so that the drain opening is not
damaged.

Dismantling the steam cylinder cover
1. Release cover tension of steam cylinder.
2. Carefully lift off cover with heating elements.
If the cover cannot be raised owing to heavy scaling (maintenance interval
exceeded) the following procedure should be adopted:
1. Close drain opening of steam cylinder with closure cap (included in delivery).
2. Fill steam cylinder with dilute formic acid.
Warning! Observe instructions for use of cleaning agents.
Allow the formic acid to take effect until the steam cylinder cover can be raised.
