Fault indicators
- External fault
The red fault indicator flashes alternately with the green steam production
indicator.
External faults are:
- External security chain broken. Maximum humidistat, flow monitor, etc. has
operated.
- Front cover or bottom access door not closed and locked.
- No mains voltage to main contactor (e.g. service switches closed).
Faults inside the unit

In case of an internal fault, a flashing fault number (1...9) is displayed in the
window next to the operating hours counter.
- In case of faults 1, 2, 6, 7 and 9 the main contactor interrupts the heating
voltage. The red fault indicator lights up and the fault number displayed in
the window next to the operating hours counter continues to flash.
- In case of faults 4, 5 and 8 the unit carries out the so-called float test:

- In case of fault 3 the red fault indication is suppressed for a certain period:

In multiple units (e.g. ST 90-..) the LEDs below the fault number indicate the module
in which the fault has occurred.
Note: In units of the "IT" type series the fault and unit number is indicated directly
on the LCD display. Please also note the instructions in the separate documentation
for the display unit.

The following table shows possible faults listed according to fault numbers and
comments on their cause and action required to eliminate them.
If the float test is completed successfully, the fault number stops flashing
but continues to light for proper identification of the fault that caused the
interruption.
If the float test failed the red fault indicator lights up and the fault number
displayed in the window next to the operating hours counter continues to
flash.
If the cause of trouble is eliminated without user intervention, the fault
number stops flashing but continues to light.
If the source of trouble cannot be eliminated without user intervention,
the main contactor interrupts the heating voltage. The red fault indicator
lights up and the fault number displayed in the window next to the
operating hours counter continues to flash.
