10. Operation

a) General Functions
Switching On/Off
• Push the button POWER (1) to switch on the device.
After first activation, the device will automatically perform a station scan in the DAB
reception range. During the search, the display (4) shows progress and the number of
stations found.
After completion of the station scan, the first station in the station list is played back.
If no stations are found, no signal could be received. In this case, move the device
or align the aerial (11) differently, and perform the station scan again. Check if DAB
stations are broadcast in your area.
When switching on again, the device will start up with the last chosen operating mode.
• Push the button POWER (1) again in order to switch off the device again (standby mode).
In standby mode, the display (4) shows the time and date.
Selection of the operating mode
• Push the button MODE (7) with the device switched on to switch between DAB and FM mode.
Setting the volume
• Turn the dial switch (6) to set the volume.
Turning clockwise > Volume is increased
Turning counter-clockwise > Volume is reduced
Alarm Function
If the unit is powered by batteries, no alarm function is possible.
• Set the alarm clock as described in "System Settings" later in these instructions.
• When the alarm sounds, push any button (except for the button SELECT/SNOOZE (9)) to
switch off the alarm.
• When the alarm sounds, you can also mute it for 10 minutes by pushing the button SELECT/
SNOOZE (9).
• After the end of this set snooze time, the alarm signal will sound again.
