1/3" Dome Camera,

Intended Use
The 1/3" dome camera in a plastic housing is intended for monitoring and protecting
secluded or critical areas (e.g. monitoring stores, intercom systems, entrances, etc.).
The images registered can be viewed on any suitable TV set or monitor with a video
input
The product is only intended for dry indoor locations.
The camera is only to be used with a working voltage of 12 V/DC (stabilised trans-
former).
Please bear in mind that it is prohibited by law to observe strangers with a camera
without their knowledge and consent.
Do not operating the product in any other way than that described above. This could
lead to damage to the product, which may give rise to hazards such as short circuit, fire
and electric shock. The product must not be modified or converted. Always observe the
safety instructions included in these operating instructions. Read the operating
instructions carefully and keep them for later reference.

Symbols
A lightning-bolt symbol in a triangle indicates a health hazard, e.g. danger
of electric shock.
The exclamation mark in a triangle indicates a particular risk during hand-
ling, operation and control.

Safety Instructions

The warranty will lapse in the event of damage caused by failure to
observe these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for
material and personal damage caused by improper use or non-com-
pliance with the safety instructions!
The exclamation mark indicates important notes in these operating
instructions that should always be observed.
• The camera must not be modified or converted, as not only the CE approval
will become void but also the warranty.
• The camera should not be exposed to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight,
intense vibrations or heavy mechanical stress.
• Where the device is used connected to other devices e.g. a monitor and a mains
supply unit, the operating instructions and safety instructions of the connected
devices must be followed.
• The use of the surveillance camera system does not replace the personal
supervision of children, or people who require special assistance, but only
serves as a support to this supervision.
• After rapid changes in temperature, the camera requires approx. 15 to
stabilise, in order to adjust to the surrounding temperature, before it can be
used.
• The system components are not toys and should be kept out of the reach of
children!
• Please contact a qualified person if you are unsure about the safety and
correct use of the camera.
• Never let the packaging material lie around unattended. Plastic film / bags etc.
can be dangerous playthings for children, there is a risk of suffocation.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, dis-
connect the device immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation.
• It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:

- the device no longer works and
- if the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of

- it has been subjected to considerable stress in transit
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the
Employer's Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and
Operating Materials are to be observed.
• The camera must not get damp or wet. The product is only intended for dry
indoor locations.
• Maintenance, adjustment and repair may only be carried out by a qualified
specialist or a specialised repair shop.
• If you have any questions, which are not answered in this manual, please
contact our technical service or another specialist.

Product Description

Assembly
Find a suitable place for mounting from which the area to be monitored can be
observed.
A suitable place for installation of this camera has the following features:
• Vibration-free
• No direct sunlight
• Dry indoor location

None of the connection cables must be bent nor squeezed. This can
result in malfunctions, short circuits and defects in the device. Thus,
it may be necessary to run the video cable and the mains cable
through the rear into the ceiling.
Make sure that cables are not damaged when drilling or bolting into
place.
The product is only intended for dry indoor locations.
