LED surveillance camera
with DVR
Item no. 75 41 33
Intended use
The product is designed for the surveillance or illumination of house entrances, yard entrances, etc. The PIR
motion detector activates an LED light if a change in temperature is detected in the detection range. As a
special feature, there is a camera built in to record videos or photos (selectable) on an SD/SDHC memory
card (not included, can be ordered separately).
Please bear in mind that it is prohibited by law to observe strangers with a camera without their knowledge
and consent. Observe the rules and regulations of the country where you are using the camera.
Always observe the safety instructions and all other information included in these operating instructions.
Any other use than that described above may damage the product. Moreover, this may give rise to hazards
such as short-circuiting, fi re, electric shock, etc. No part of the product may be modifi ed or converted!
This product complies with the applicable National and European requirements. All names of companies and

Explanation of the Symbols
This symbol indicates a health hazard, e.g. electric shock.
The exclamation mark indicates specifi c risks associated with handling, function and use.
The "Hand" symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe these safety
instructions! We do not assume any liability for any consequential damage!
Nor do we assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by improper use
or non-compliance with the safety instructions! The warranty will be void in such cases!
Caution!
This product may only be installed by a qualifi ed technician (e.g., an electrician) who is
familiar with the relevant regulations (e.g., VDE, German electrical wiring regulations)!
Improper work, carried out on the mains voltage, endangers not only your own life but
also the life of others!
If you do not have the expertise required for the installation, do not install it yourself but
ask a qualifi ed technician.
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cation of the product is not allowed for safety and
approval reasons (CE).
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children! There is the risk of a
fatal electric shock! Install the product out of the reach of children.
• The product may only be operated on the mains voltage (see section "Technical Data").
• The product is constructed to protection class I; the earth cable must be connected.
If there is not a mains supply with a protective earth wire available at the place of installation,
the product must not be connected/used there. In this case, install a new mains supply with a
protective earth wire. If no protective earth is connected, faults may give rise to a danger of a
lethal electric shock!
• The product may be installed and used in indoor and outdoor areas (protection type IP44).
It must be mounted to a vertical wall; it is essential that the correct mounting position is
observed; see the chapter "Installation."
• Do not use the LED surveillance camera in rooms, or under adverse environmental condi-
tions, where combustible gases, vapours or dust are or may be present! There is a risk of
explosion!
• Do not hang or attach objects (e.g. decorative material) to the product; there is a risk of fi re!
• Attention, LED light: Do not look directly into the LED light! Do not look into the beam directly
or with optical instruments!
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, disconnect the product
immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation. After this, let an expert check the
product.
A safe operation can no longer be assumed, if:
- the product shows visible signs of damage,
- the product does not work at all or works poorly (fl ickering light, leaking smoke or a smell
of burning, the light fl ickers, audible cracking noises, discolouration to the product or the
adjacent surfaces.)
- the product was stored for a longer period of time in unfavourable conditions
- it was exposed to heavy loads during transport

Preparations for Installation
• Only install the product on a vertical wall.
• It is imperative that you pay attention to the correct installation position! Only mount the product with the
PIR motion sensor at the bottom and the LED light at the top. If it is mounted incorrectly, water can get into
the product, which destroys it.
• Only install the product on a stable surface, e.g. brickwork. Depending on the surface, suitable screws and
wall plugs need to be used.
• The product must be installed out of the reach of children.
• The product must be protected on the distribution board, provided by the user, by a 10/16A fuse. An earth
leakage circuit breaker must be installed before this (FI protective switch).
• The device must be voltage-free during mounting, installation and connection. It is not suffi cient to just turn
off at the light switch!
Turn the power off and remove the electric circuit fuse or switch off the circuit breaker. Secure it against
unauthorised reconnection, e.g., with a danger sign. Furthermore, turn off the earth leakage circuit breaker
to disconnect all the poles from the mains voltage.
• Check that the mains connection is free of current e.g. with an appropriate tester.
Installation and Connection
• The ideal height for the motion detector is around 2.5 m. The product should be mounted so it cannot be
reached without help (so no one can easily gain access to the device), but so you can still easily remove
the SD memory card, for example, by means of a ladder.
The PIR detection angle is 160° (camera detection angle 60°); see the following diagram:
2.5m
• Remove the single screw on the bottom, so the mounting plate can be detached.
• Carefully cut open the rubber seal so the installation cable can pass through it.
• If holes must be drilled for installation, mark the drilling positions on the wall, through the screw holes in
the mounting plate. Take care that existing cables or pipes are not damaged while drilling or tightening the
screws.
Secure the mounting plate through the mounting holes to the wall, using suitable screws and, if necessary,
wall plugs.
• Connect the mains cable using the terminal strip in the light (brown cable = L, blue cable = N, green/yellow
cable = PE/earth); secure the mains cable with the cable relief.
• Now set the PIR/light unit on the mounting plate and attach it using the screw that was removed at the
start. Make sure that the cables are not pinched.
Function and Adjustment of the Motion Detector
The motion detector responds to temperature changes within the detection range, e.g. if a person, an animal
or a car enters the detection area with a different temperature from the rest of the detection area.
After switching on the mains voltage, it takes about 30-60 seconds until the motion detector has adjusted
to the background temperature and is able to recognise changes in temperature within the detection area.
By turning or tilting, the alignment to the detection area can be changed.
The detection range of the PIR motion detector can be restricted further by covering the plastic lens of the
motion detector e.g. with a strip of opaque adhesive tape.
• Setting the on-time for the LED light (control knob "TIME")
Using this knob, you can set the duration for the LED light's on-time. Turning the knob in the "-" direction
reduces the on-time; turning the knob in the "+" direction increases the time (adjustable range approx. 30
seconds to max. 7 minutes).
If the LED light has been activated and the motion detector recognises another movement during the
on-time, the on-time is restarted.
• Setting the sensitivity (control knob "SENSITIVITY")
With this knob, you can adjust how sensitive the PIR motion detector is, i.e. the temperature changes in
the surveillance area to which it reacts. Turning the knob in the "-" direction reduces the sensitivity so that
larger temperature changes or larger objects with a different temperature are required to activate the PIR
motion detector.
If the knob is turned in the "+" direction, then smaller temperature changes or smaller objects with different
temperatures are suffi cient, which can lead potentially to erroneous triggering.
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations or heavy mecha-
nical loads.
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around since it could become a dangerous
plaything for children.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the employer's liability insur-
ance association for electrical systems and operating facilities are to be observed!
• If you have any questions that are not answered in this manual, please contact our technical
service or another specialist.

Important: Do not make the hole too big. Otherwise water might penetrate the housing, causing
a short-circuit. Fill a hole, which was cut too big, with a little silicone, for example.
On the mounting plate, there is a marking " UP". Only install the mounting plate so this marking
points vertically upwards.
Make sure that the insulation on the wires is not stripped back too far. Check whether all screwed
fi xtures on the cabling are tight enough; if not, tighten them.
