The menu items CENTER to TEST MODE affect only the 5.1 outputs. They can
only be set if the option 5.1 CHANNEL was selected in the menu item DOWNMIX.
DOWNMIX MODE
• Stereo: Connecting the DVD player to a Dolby Surround amplifier via the L and R
cinch jacks.
• 5.1 Channel: Connecting the DVD player to a Dolby Surround / AV amplifier via the
5.1 outputs.
• VSS: Connecting the DVD player to an amplifier with Laboratories Sensaura S-
Speaker Virtual Surround.
CENTER / REAR / SUBWOOFER
Via these menu items you can turn on/off the centre speaker, the rear speakers or the
subwoofer.
CNTR DELAY / REAR DELAY
In these two menu items you can adjust the delay time for the centre speaker and the
rear speakers to yield best surround sound. The setting range for the centre speaker is
between 0 ms (OFF) – 5 ms. The setting range for the rear speaker is from 0 ms to 15
ms.
TEST TONE
After activation of the test tone the device starts to transmit an audio noise signal suc-
cessively to all 5.1 channels (except subwoofer channel). The signal is simultaneously
transmitted to the two rear speakers. You can now set your surround system optimal-
ly.
DOLBY DIGITAL SETUP

Before you make settings in DOLBY DIGITAL SETUP make sure that the menu
item SPDIF/RAW (DVD and VCD) or SPDIF/PCM (audio CD) is set in GENERAL
PAGE SETUP.

Bei der Verbindung des Scart- oder des Cinch-Video-Ausgangs über einen Videore-
corder, kann es bei einer DVD mit Kopierschutz zu Wiedergabeproblemen führen.
Die Schaltspannung am Scart-Ausgang ist auch im Stand-By-Modus vorhanden. Wird
die Programmumschaltung des Fernsehers über diese Schaltspannung gesteuert, so
sollten Sie den DVD-Player am Netzschalter ausschalten, wenn Sie ihn nicht mehr
benützen.
Analoger Audio-Anschluß / 5.1-Ausgang
Bitte beachten Sie unbedingt bei der Inbetriebnahme des DVD-Players den Menü-
punkt Grundeinstellungen des DVD-Players.
