Inserting the Batteries:
Open the battery compartment on the
rear side of the remote control.
Insert 2 batteries (1.5 V type Micro / R03 /
AAA) in the battery compartment and
observe the correct polarity.
Replace the cover of the battery com-
partment. The cover of the battery com-
partment latches into place if applied
properly.
Observe correct polarity when inserting the batteries! A wrong polarity
damages the remote control.
Remove batteries from the battery compartment if you are not using it for
a prolonged period of time. The batteries might leak.
Do not leave batteries lie around unattended as they could be swallowed
by children or pets. In case of being swallowed seek immediate medical
care!
Do not leave empty batteries in the battery compartment as even leak-
proof batteries can corrode and release hazardous chemical substances
that are harmful to your health and could destroy the battery compart-
ment!
Leaking or damaged batteries can cause causticization when in contact
with the skin. Therefore, wear protective gloves when handling them!
Never try to charge batteries. Danger of explosion!
Do not throw batteries into fire. Danger of explosion!
Do not short-circuit batteries. Danger of explosion!
Only use batteries of the same manufacturer in your remote control.
Always replace the entire battery set.
Environmental Note!
The end user is required by law to return all used batteries (round
cell, lead-acid battery....) for appropriate disposal.
Batteries must not be disposed of in the household waste.
Empty batteries are to be considered as special waste and, there-
fore, must be disposed of in an ecologically sound manner. For this
purpose, special collecting boxes are provided at specialist retail
shops and also in several supermarkets or recycling collection cen-
tres.

TV DISPLAY
• NORMAL / PS : Für den Anschluß eines TV-Gerätes mit Bildformat 4:3. In diesem
Modus wird jedoch bei der Bildwiedergabe eines Breitwandfilms (16:9), an der rech-
ten und linken Seite jeweils ein Teil des Bildes nicht wiedergegeben (Bild wird abge-
schnitten). Nur wenige Discs erlauben diese Option.
• NORMAL / LB: Für den Anschluß eines TV-Gerätes mit Bildformat 4:3. In diesen
Modus ist bei der Bildwiedergabe eines Breitwandfilms (16:9), ein schwarzer Balken
unter- und oberhalb des Bildes zu sehen.
• WIDE: Diese Einstellung sollte bei einem TV-Gerät mit 16:9 Bildformat gewählt wer-
den.
TV TYPE
Sollten Sie über einen multinormfähigen Fernseher verfügen, so wählen Sie den Punkt
"MULTI". Wenn Sie einen Fernseher besitzen, der nur die PAL- oder die NTSC-Norm
besitzt, so stellen Sie den DVD-Player auf die entsprechende Norm ein. Bitte sehen
Sie dazu in die Bedienungsanleitung des angeschlossenen Fernsehers. Die deutsche
Farbfernsehnorm ist PAL.
VIDEO OUTPUT
Wählen Sie je nach Anschlußart das richtige Videoausgangssignal. Siehe dazu Video-
anschluß.
Anschluß 1: Einstellung S-VIDEO oder wenn Fernseher und Scart-Kabel RGB-tauglich
sind, RGB.
