If PBC is set to OFF the functions of some buttons change, too, which will be
described in the following
• Title: Skip to the individual content tables
• PREV/NEXT: Skip to first or last content table
• FB/FF: 10 content tables at a time are skipped
• PLAY: After activation of a content table it can be played by pressing the PLAY but-
ton
• ROOT/DIGEST: If the ROOT/DIGEST button is pressed during stop mode, the start-
ing scenes of up to 9 chapters are displayed. These scenes can be selected via the
number buttons 1-9.
• STOP: Return to the content tables
Playing Audio CDs
Buttons already described in the previous chapters which fulfil the same or
much similar functions will not be described in the this section. The screen
displays described previously may therefore vary slightly.
CLEAR (4)
When programming music tracks of an audio CD, the CLEAR button can be used to
delete the last entry.
PROGRAM (6)
Press the PROGRAM button during stop mode to start programming tracks. Enter the
desired program via the number buttons. Press the START button to activate the pro-
gram. To delete the programming press the STOP and then the PROGRAM button.
Number buttons (3)
Via the number buttons you can directly go to a track (CD, MP3). To select a two- or
three-digit title e.g., 42, press the 10+ button repeatedly until "SELECT:4-" appears on
the screen. Subsequently press quickly the button 2. "SELECT: 42" then briefly
appears on the screen. Track 42 will now be played.
FB/FF (10/11)
Use the FB and the FF button to start fast forward and reverse scanning during play-
back. Press repeatedly to increase the scanning speed. A corresponding display
appears on the screen.
If you press the PLAY button or if the end/start of music title has been reached, the
track playback is restored to normal speed.
VOCAL (26)
During playback of an audio CD the VOCAL button enables switching at the output
between Stereo, Mono right, Mono left.

Funktionsbeschreibung
Mit dem DVD-Player DVD JH-503 können DVD-, Video-, MP3-, SV- und Audio-CDs
abgespielt werden.
Dabei erfolgt die Ansteuerung des Fernsehers oder des Bildschirmes über den Scart-,
Cinch-Video-, S-Video oder YUV-Ausgang auf der Geräterückseite.
Das Gerät besitzt zudem einen 5.1-, einen digitalen koaxialen- und einen digitalen
optischen-Audioausgang an dem ein 5.1-Verstärker, Dolby-Surround-, DTS- oder
Dolby-Digital-Dekoder (Verstärker) betrieben werden kann.
Die Steuerung und Menüeinstellung des Gerätes über die Bildschirmanzeige (OSD),
erfolgt mittels der mitgelieferten Fernbedienung. Die Grundfunktion (z.B. Play) kann
aber auch am DVD-Player direkt bedient werden.
