MUTE (15)
Press the MUTE button to turn the sound on or off during playback.
STANDBY (16)
Press the STANDBY button to switch the DVD player off or on. Use the main power
switch to turn the device off if you are not using it for some time (e.g. at night). The red
control display goes out only when the device is switched of at the main power switch.
REPEAT (17)
The REPEAT button can be used to activate the repeat function of a DVD for the indi-
vidual chapters (Chapter or Repeat one) or for the entire movie (Title or Repeat all).
P/N (18)
Press the P/N button to change the TV type This setting remains valid until a different
disc is inserted or until the DVD player is switched off. After that the menu settings are
restored (see GENERAL SETUP /TV TYPE).
CAPTION (19)
Press CAPTION during playback to select the different subtitle versions of a DVD.
Press the button until the desired subtitle version is displayed. To disable subtitles
press the CAPTION button until "SUBTITLE OFF" appears on the screen. After a short
while the subtitle menu will disappear. If another disc is inserted or if the DVD player is
switched off, the device menu settings are restored (see PREFERENCES/SUBTITLE).
ANGLE (20)
The ANGLE button can only be used if the movie scene contains this additional fea-
ture. At the beginning of such a scene the angel symbol (see To Know About DVDs)
appears in the upper right corner of the screen. Press the button repeatedly to switch
between the different camera perspectives. Please observe also the settings in the
main menu of the DVD player (GENERAL SETUP / ANGLE MARK).
DISPLAY (21)
Use the DISPLAY button to successively view different time displays on the upper left
corner of the screen during playback.
• Elapsed time of the current title (movie). The number of title and chapter is displayed
for about 2 seconds.
• Remaining time of the current title
• Elapsed time of the current chapter
• Switching off the time information
SETUP (22)
Use the SETUP button to enter the main menu main menu of the DVD player to make
the desired settings (see general settings). If you exit the menu (press again the SET-
UP button) playback is resumed where it was stopped.

Tasten zur Anwahl der verschiedenen
Sprachen/Tonspuren auf einer DVD.
27. Netzbuchse
An dieser Buchse wird das Netzkabel
angeschlossen.
28. SLOW
Mit dieser Taste wird die Zeitlupen-
funktion aktiviert.
29. STEP
Taste zum Aktivieren der Einzelbild-
funktion.
30. STOP
Stoptaste
31. PAUSE
Pausetaste
32. RETURN
Diese Taste hat keine Funktion.
33. ZOOM
Mit dieser Taste kann das wiederge-
gebene Bild vergrößert werden.
34. Ein/Ausschalter
Netzschalter zum Ein- bzw. Aus-
schalten des DVD-Players.
