Bevor Sie Einstellungen im DOLBY DIGITAL SETUP vornehmen, vergewissern Sie
sich, ob im GENERAL PAGE SETUP, der Menüpunkt SPDIF/RAW (DVD und VCD)
oder SPDIF/PCM (Audio CD) aktiviert wurde.
OP MODE
Sie können im OP MODE zwischen LINE OUT und RF REMOD wählen. Der Punkt
LINE OUT erlaubt Ihnen den Digitalen Surround Sound in seiner vollen Dynamik wie-
derzugeben. Zu bestimmten Zeiten, kann diese Lautstärkendynamik aber Nachbarn
oder z.B. schlafende Kinder stören. Mit der Einstellung RF REMOD können Sie die
Dynamik begrenzen. Der Grundton (z.B Sprache) ist in normaler Lautstärke zu hören.
Geräusche wie z.B. bei Explosionen werden begrenzt.
DUAL MONO
Menüpunkt hat keine Funktion.
DYNAMIC
Die Einstellung DYNAMIC, ist nur möglich, wenn im Menüpunkt OP MODE, der Punkt
LINE OUT aktiviert wurde. Mit dieser Einstellmöglichkeit können Sie ebenfalls den
Dynamikbereich, wie bei RF REMOD beschrieben, begrenzen. Nur ist hier eine indivi-
duelle Einstellung von 0 – 1 möglich. Die Grundeinstellung ist "Full".
DOLBY SURROUND SETUP
Menüpunkt hat keine Funktion.

Der Menüpunkt PREFERENCES läßt sich nur aktivieren, wenn sich der DVD Play-
er im Stop-Modus befindet.
AUDIO
In diesem Menü können Sie Ihre bevorzugte Sprache festlegen. Die gewählte Sprache
kann natürlich nur abgespielt werden, wenn diese auch auf der DVD vorhanden ist.
Die Auswahl "Deutsch", ist hier nicht vorgesehen. Drücken Sie bitte währenddessen

is not correctly positioned on the disc tray.
Connections:
Make sure to pull the power cord before connecting the device.
Before making any connections switch the device off and also all other
devices to which it will be connected.
Connect the DVD player to the corresponding input and output jacks of
the devices you intend to connect.
Make sure that the all cables sit fast. Loose cables may cause distur-
bances or noise.
Observe also the operating manuals and safety instructions of the other
connected appliances.
Video Connection:
Choose one of the following options for connecting. When taking the DVD player into
operation, please observe the menu point general settings of the DVD player.
1.Scart connection: Use the Scart connection only if picture and sound of the DVD
player are to be output via your TV set. Use only a fully assigned 21-pin Scart cable
to make use of all available Scart signals (FBAS, RGB, switching voltage etc.)
2.Cinch-Video connection: Use the supplied cinch video-audio connecting cable to
establish the video and audio connection.
3.S-VHS connection: If your TV, monitor or projector features an S-VHS input, you
can connect your DVD player via the supplied S-VHS cable. Sending the signals for
luminance and colour separately yields a clearer picture reproduction than the
cinch-video connection.
4.YCrCb-connection: This connection yields the best picture quality. The YCrCb
connection is also called YUV.
