Dear Customer: The following safety information is intended not only for the protection of the
device but also for the protection of your health. Please read the following items carefully:
• To ensure that the device is set up correctly, always read these operating instructions inclu-
ding the safety instructions thoroughly and attentively before use.
• The operator must observe the country-specific accident prevention regulations of the associ-
ation of the industrial workers' societies for electrical equipment and utilities.
• Assembly, commissioning and operation of this product shall require correspondingly qualified
specialist staff and must only be performed under consideration of the requirements named in
these instructions.
• Setting and maintenance work must only be performed by a trained specialist who is familiar
with the respective dangers. Improperly performed setting work may cause dangerous laser
irradiation.
• For safety reasons, any unauthorized conversions and/or modifications to the product are not
permitted.
• The entrepreneur must report them to the relevant accident insurance company and the aut-
hority relevant for work protection (usually the trade supervision) before initial commissioning
and designate a laser protection officer.
• When operating the laser device, always observe that the laser beam is guided so that no per-
sons are present in the projection area and that inadvertently reflected beams (e.g. by mirrors)
cannot reach the area where persons are present.
• Laser radiation may be dangerous if the laser beam or a reflection enters the unprotected eye.
Therefore, familiarise yourself with the statutory regulations and measures of precaution for
the operation of this kind of laser device before using the laser facility.
• Never look into the laser beam and never point it at people or animals. Laser irradiation may
cause eye or skin damage.
• Never look into the laser beam with optical instruments (such as magnifying glasses or te-
lescopes). The risk of eye injury would drastically increase again.
• Never point the laser beam at any mirrors or other reflection surfaces. The uncontrolledly
reflected beam may hit persons or animals.
• Only operate the laser in monitored areas.
• Limit the beam path by shields or mobile walls where possible.
• Mark the laser area by barriers or warning signs.
