• Observe the operation manual of your monitoring recorder for recording the video
signal.
• Select the right input when the camera is connected to a television or monitor, so
that the image of the camera will be displayed.
Maintenance and Cleaning
• The product does not require any maintenance, leave maintenance or repairs to a
specialist.
• Occasionally clean the camera from dust and cobwebs, especially the lens of the
camera. To do this, use a soft, clean brush and a vacuum cleaner.
• The outside of the product should only be cleaned with a clean, soft, dry cloth.
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions that could damage
the housing (discolouring) or impair operation.
Tips and Notes
• Install the camera so that it cannot be reached without using auxiliary means.
• When laying out the connection cable, make sure that it is protected from manipula-
tion attempts. Naturally, the monitoring recorder that is used for recording is placed
at a location that protects it from intruders.
• The camera provides a conventional analogue video CVBS signal. With appropriate
accessories (e.g. a wireless video transmission set) this can be transmitted wire-
lessly, thus creating further application options for monitoring a room.
• Longer cable lengths can lead to deterioration of the video signal (e.g. shadows on
the vertical edges in the picture). In this case, use an appropriate amplifier.
If the cable used to supply the voltage/power to the camera is too long, the voltage
will drop, and the operating voltage for the camera will therefore no longer be suf-
ficient. This may lead to stripes in the image or to a loss of signal. If necessary, use
a cable with a larger cross-section to reduce the voltage drop.
Disposal
Electrical and electronic equipment does not belong in the regular house-
hold waste.
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the
current statutory requirements.
