Colour camera, 1000 TVL, camouflaged

Intended use
This camera is intended for video monitoring and protecting secluded or critical areas
(e.g. entrance areas, stairwells, offices or similar). The camera is very inconspicuous,
thanks to its design, and is camouflaged as a smoke detector.
The camera provides a CVBS video signal (PAL) that can be recorded or displayed
with appropriate devices (not included). The product is powered by an external volt-
age/power supply (12 V/DC, min 200 mA).
Please bear in mind that it is prohibited by law to observe strangers with a camera
without their knowledge and consent. Observe the rules and regulations of the country
where you are using the camera.
The safety instructions must be observed at all times!
Any use other than that described above could lead to damage to this product and
involves the risk of short circuits, fire, electric shock, etc. No part of the product may
be modified or converted!

warranty! We do not assume any liability for any resulting damage!
W e do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused
by improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions. In such
cases, the warranty will be null and void.
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not
permitted for safety and approval reasons (CE).
• The camera is intended to be used only with a stabilised direct current of
12 V/DC. The inner contact of the round plug must be Plus/"+", the outer
contact Minus/"-".
• The product is not a toy and does not belong in the hands of children. It
should be operated out of the reach of children.
• The use of this camera does not replace the personal supervision of chil-
dren or people who require special assistance, but only serves as a sup-
port for this supervision.
• The camera is appropriate for indoor use only; it must not get damp or wet.
• The camera must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, direct sun-
light, strong vibrations, dust or heavy mechanical stress.
• Make sure that the connection cable is not pinched or damaged by sharp
edges.
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, since it could
become a dangerous plaything for children.
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or
accidental falls, even from a low height.
• If the camera is used with other devices (e.g. a monitor), the operating
instructions and safety notes for these devices must also be followed
without fail.
• Safe operation can no longer be assumed if:
- the device is visibly damaged,
- the device no longer works
- the device has been stored under adverse conditions for a long time
- it was exposed to heavy loads during transport
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Em-
ployer's Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operat-
ing Facilities are to be observed.

Functional Description
The camera requires an external voltage/power supply, e.g. a plug-in power supply
(not included). This must supply a stabilised output voltage of 12 V/DC and a current
of at least 200 mA.
The camera has a low-voltage round connector for the connection; the matching
round plug must have an outer diameter of 5.5mm and an inner diameter of 2.1mm. It is
essential to observe the correct polarity of the round plug, the outer contact must be
Minus-/, the inner contact Plus/+.
The analogy CVBS video signal of the camera is available at the BNC connection.
This video signal could e.g. be recorded on a appropriate monitoring recorder. The
video signal may also be generated directly onto a television/monitor (an appropriate
adapter may be required).
The connection to a monitoring recorder or monitor requires the use of an appropriate
connection cable (not included).
Because of its design the camera is very similar to a conventional smoke detector.
Contrary to conventional monitoring camera's this camera is very inconspicuous.
As you can see there is a net in front of the camera lens to cover the holes
of the „smoke detector". Due to the focal length of the camera this ihas only
a minimal impact on the picture.. Thus it is not necessary to cut out the net
here!
Installation and Connection
We advise you to test the camera before mounting it permanently and check
whether the required observation area is in the field of view of the camera.
Inside the camera is attached to a metal bracket. By loosening the retaining
screws the camera can be directed toward the desired observation area.
However, due to the design the adjustment range is not as large as in a
conventional monitoring camera.
After that the camera can be mounted permanently as follows.
• The camera's connection cable must always be mounted in a concealed way. This
is not only to recognise the „smoke detector" as a monitoring camera, but also to
protect it from manipulation (e.g. cutting the cables, if someone tries to break in, to
prevent video recording).
For this reason an appropriate hole must be drilled on the place of installation of the
camera, e.g. in the ceiling covering of a suspended ceiling.
Insert the connection cable through this hole, protect the plug with a small plastic
bag against dust and dirt.
• The camera can now be mounted via two openings e.g. onto the ceiling. Use ap-
propriate screws and wall plugs, depending on the surface.
Make sure when screwing into place or when drilling holes that no cables or
wires are damaged.
• Connect the BNC connector to the analogy video input e.g. of a monitoring recorder.
By using an appropriate adapter you may also be able to connect to the analogue
video input of a television/monitor such as a scart connection).
• The external power supply must be connected to the round connector (stabilised
direct current 12 V/DC, electricity min. 200 mA).
The matching round plug must have an external diameter of 5.5 mm and an internal
diameter of 2.1 mm. It is essential to observe the correct polarity of the round plug,
the outer contact must be minus-/, the inner contact plus/+.
Using different voltage or polarity may damage the camera; warranty will
become null and void!
