Operation

• Insert the rechargeable batteries into the product. Heed the following:
Heed correct polarity when inserting rechargeable batteries. Align the markings (plus and
minus -) on the rechargeable batteries and in the product's charging slot.
Always charge AA and AAA rechargeable batteries in pairs, never alone. Each pair must
consist of two rechargeable batteries of the same type, the same size and the same capacity.
You can charge one pair of AA or AAA rechargeable batteries and one 9 V rechargeable
battery at the same time.
You can charge one single 9 V rechargeable battery or two 9 V rechargeable batteries at
the same time.
When charging two AA or AAA rechargeable batteries (one pair), insert them next to each
other to the far left or far right. Review the following illustrations:

• Connect the product's power plug to a normal household power outlet. The corresponding
charging slot LED lights up to signalize that charging has begun.
Green LED = AA AAA
Red LED = 9 V
• Disconnect the product from the power outlet and remove the rechargeable batteries as soon
as their charging time is up. The product does not turn off automatically. Review the following
table for information on charging times.

Maintenance and cleaning

This product does not require maintenance. There are no components located inside the
product you need to maintain, therefore never open dismantle it. Have maintenance and
repairs done by quali ed experts or repair shops only.
Before cleaning, disconnect the product from the power supply and remove the rechargeable
batteries.
To clean the product, a dry, soft and clean cloth is suf cient. You can use a long-haired, soft and
clean brush and a vacuum cleaner to remove dust.
Never use any aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as they may cause damage
to the housing or the product to malfunction.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant
statutory regulations.
b) Rechargeable batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used rechargeable
batteries. Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated rechargeable batteries are labelled with this symbol to indicate that
disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals
involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on rechargeable
batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).
Used rechargeable batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our stores
or wherever rechargeable batteries are sold.
You thus ful l your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
