Heating of rechargeable batteries when charging/discharging
When charging or discharging, the rechargeable batteries will heat up due to their principle.
Specifically at higher charging/discharging current,s a rechargeable battery will heat up slightly
to 55 °C and more.
In this case, the charger has a safety deactivation to prevent damage at the rechargeable
battery or charger.
When you find that a rechargeable battery heats up strongly, reduce the charging/
discharging current. This applies specifically with older or „cheaper" rechargeable
batteries.
Let the rechargeable batteries cool down to room temperature before you charge or discharge
or use them.
Use of several rechargeable batteries in one device
When a device (e.g. a radio) requires several equal rechargeable batteries (e.g. four AA/mignon
cells), the removable rechargeable battery capacity and operating duration is according to the
weakest cell used.
For this reason, always observe that only rechargeable batteries with the same
capacity and the same charge conditions must be operated together. Never mix fully
and partially discharged rechargeable batteries.
