Intended use
The product is a watch with multimedia replay function (for multimedia files like MP3, WMA). A colour LC display
is integrated into the device; the audio playback is output via a 2.5 mm stereo jack plug. Voice recordings are
possible via an integrated microphone. Pictures and text can be shown on the LC display. Data can be saved
to the integrated memory by connecting to a PC via USB 2.0. The power supply is ensured by an integrated
LiPo battery recharged by an external power adaptor (provided).
Unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the device are inadmissible because of safety and approval
reasons (CE). Any usage other than described above is not permitted and can damage the product and lead to
associated risks such as short-circuit, fire, electric shock, etc. Please read the operating instructions thoroughly
and keep them for further reference.

Safety instructions
We do not assume liability for resulting damages to property or personal injury if the
product has been abused in any way or damaged by improper use or failure to observe
these operating instructions. The warranty/ guarantee will then expire!
The icon with exclamation mark indicates important information in the operating
instructions. Carefully read the whole operating instructions before operating the device,
otherwise there is risk of danger.
Persons / Product
The product is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of children!
Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become dangerous playing material
for children.
Playback at excessive volume can cause hearing impairment.
Never use the product while operating a vehicle. Also when walking, using the MP3 player while crossing
traffic can pose a high risk of accidents!
Operating the device must not distract the user from his/her immediate surroundings.
The product can reach sound pressure levels (SPL) which may cause lasting hearing impairment. Do not
expose yourself to a sound pressure level of more than 90 dBA over long periods.
When used in conjunction with other devices, observe the operating instructions and safety notices of
connected devices.
The product must not be subjected to heavy mechanical stress.
The product must not be exposed it to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, intense vibration, or
dampness.
Do not place any sources of open fire, such as burning candles, on or next to the product.
If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from any
accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:

is visibly damaged, - is no longer working properly,
-
has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
-
has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage the
product.
Battery
The rechargeable battery is permanently built into the MP4 player and cannot be replaced.
Never damage the rechargeable battery. Damaging the casing of the rechargeable battery might cause an
explosion or a fire! Unlike conventional batteries/rechargeable batteries (e.g. AA or AAA type), the casing
of the LiPo rechargeable battery does not consist of a thin sheet but rather a sensitive plastic film only.
Never short-circuit the contacts of the rechargeable battery. Do not throw the battery or MP4 player into
fire. There is a danger of fire and explosion!
Charge the rechargeable battery regularly, even if you do are not using the MP4 player. Due to the
rechargeable battery technology being used, you do not need to discharge the rechargeable battery first.
Fully charge the battery about once per month, as the MP3 player also consumes power (although very
little) when it is switched off. This ensures that the device is always ready to use.
Never charge the rechargeable battery of the MP4 player unattended.
When charging, place the MP4 player on a surface that is not heat-sensitive. It is normal that a certain
amount of heat is generated during charging.
Disconnect the MP4 player from the computer when you are not using it.
Miscellaneous
Servicing, adjustment or repair works must only be carried out by a specialist/ specialist workshop.

Charging the battery
1.
Plug the USB cable provided into the USB port of the watch.
2.
Plug the other side (the USB type A plug) into the provided power adaptor.

Connect the power adaptor to the mains outlet.

You may also plug the USB type A plug into a vacant USB port on your computer for charging instead of
using the power adaptor.
6.
Converting media files
Follow the instructions included in the CD for converting videos to mtv files (*.mtv) and converting photos to
slide show file ( *.sls).
7.
Data transmission
The folder structure within the watch memory helps to sort the individual multimedia files.
Do not delete it; otherwise the data will probably be not recognised correctly and might not
being played (folder „song" = MP3/WMA files; „MICIN.DIR" = recordings; „MTV" = video
files; „PICTURE" = JPG images; „TXT.DIR" = text files).

Plug the USB cable provided into the USB port of the watch.

Plug the USB type A plug into a vacant USB port on your computer.

The memory of the watch will be indicated as a new drive like conventional removable media (e.g. USB sticks).

Copy the files to the corresponding folder in the watch.
No conventional video files can be played with the watch, since this would take too much computational
power. Therefore you will find respective software on the CD that able to convert many kind of video
files into a space-saving format. Since there are many different video formats it can not be guaranteed
that the software can recognise and convert every video format.
There is an innumerable amount of programmes that can create MP3 or WMA files. Therefore it
is prossible that some MP3/WMA files cannot be played with the watch. If you have created the
MP3/WMA file by yourself, please use another software for generating MP3/WMA filed for testing
reasons.
Driver is required for Mircrosoft Windows 98, please follow the instructions on the CD.
8.
Connecting Earplugs
On the left side of the watch there is a 2.5 mm jack plug connector suitable for the provided earplugs.
Via an adaptor (not provided) conventional earphones with a 3.5 mm jack plug can also be used.
9.
Operations
Switching On/Off
Press button (6) for one second to turn on the watch. A welcome message will appear.
If the watch is to be turned off, stop all possible playback/recording and keep button (6) pressed for about two seconds.
Reboot
Press button (8) and the button (6) to reboot the watch.
Volume control
During playback of a music or a video, you can increase or decrease the volume by pressing buttons (8) and
(7) respectively.
Select function
You can select the desired function by pressing buttons (3) or (4). Confirm your selection by pressing button
(6). There are eight functions in the main menu:

Music
In this mode, you can select and play the music stored in the internal memory of the watch.
By pressing buttons (3) / (4), you can select the desired music. Press (6) to play the music.
Press and hold buttons (3) / (4) to fast forward / rewind the music.
Press button (6) to pause the music; press it again to continue.
Press and hold button (5) for two seconds to return to the main menu.
Press button (5) to enter the sub-menu. Press button (5) again to return to the music mode.

Repeat mode
Select the desired repeat mode in this sub-menu.
No repeat - Play the songs in the watch in order once only.
Repeat one - Play the selected song repeatedly.
Repeat all - Play the songs in the watch in order repeatedly.
Random all - Play the songs in the watch in a shuffle order.
Dir repeat - Play the songs in the directory in order.
Dir all repeat - Play the songs in the directory in order repeatedly.
Dir random all - Play the songs in the directory in a shuffle order.
Equalizer
Use the default equalizers or customize the equalizer for playing music.
Default equalizers:
Normal / Pop / Rock / Classic / Jazz / Bass
3D
The 3D feature allows you to experience emulated surround-sound effect.
Play rate
Set the play rate of the music to :
1.00x / 1.14x / 1.33x / 0.67x / 0.80x
File Browse
Browse the music files in the watch.
Press button (7) to delete the selected music file / add it to the playlist.
Play list
Select 'My List' and press button (6) to enter.
Press button (6) again to play the playlist. Press button (7) to 'Del List' (Remove the
selected song from the playlist) / 'Delete File' (Remove the selected music file)
Slide show
Select the time for the slide show to begin.
Return to the music and the photos in the slide show file (*.sls) in the SLS folder of
the watch will be displayed one by one.
ACL
Turn on the ACL (Access Comfortable Listen) for a more comfortable music listening
experience.
Voice
In this mode, you can select and play the audio record stored in the internal memory of the watch.
By pressing buttons (3) / (4), you can select the desired audio record. Press button (6) to play the record.
Press and hold buttons (3) / (4) to fast forward / rewind the audio record.
Press button (6) to pause the record, press it again to continue.
Press and hold button (5) for two seconds to return to the main menu.
Press button (5) to enter the sub-menu. Press button (5) again to return to the music mode.

Select the desired repeat mode in this sub-menu.
No repeat - Play the videos in the watch in order once only.
Repeat one - Play the selected video repeatedly.
Repeat all - Play the videos in the watch in order repeatedly.
Random all - Play the videos in the watch in a shuffle order.
Dir repeat - Play the videos in the directory in order.
Dir all repeat - Play the videos in the directory in order repeatedly.
Dir random all - Play the videos in the directory in a shuffle order.
Subtitle color
Select the desired subtitle colour for showing the video details when the video is
playing.
The colour options are :
Yellow / Grey / Red / Green / Blue / Cyan
Photo
In this mode, you can view the photos stored in the internal memory of the watch.
Select the PICTURE or any other directories with photos by pressing buttons (3) / (4), press button (6) to
enter.
By pressing buttons (3) / (4), you can select the desired photos. Press (6) to view the photo.
By pressing buttons (3) / (4), you can view the previous / next photo.
Press button (5) to return to the photo file browsing interface.
Press button (5) to return to a higher directory, you may return to the main menu if you press button (5) at
the root directory.
Time
In this mode, you may view the time and configure the time settings.
Time Display
Display the current time.
Adjust time
Press buttons (3) / (4) to select the field to be adjusted, then use buttons (8) or (7)
to adjust the value. Press (6) to confirm and return to the sub-menu.
Time zone
Adjust the time zone.
Setup
In this mode, you may set the watch.
Power
Set the power off time. The watch turns off after it has been operating for a certain
period of time.
15 minutes / 30 minutes / 60 minutes / 90 minutes /120 minutes / Close
Language
English / Chinese (Traditional) / Chinese (Simplified) / German / French / Italian
/ Polish / Portuguese / Russian / Spanish / Japanese / Korean / Dutch / Czech /

Display setting
Set the backlight time. The backlight turns off when the watch has not been used.
15 seconds / 30 seconds / 1 minutes / Close
Record setting
Record quality, you may choose the record quality in this sub-menu.
Long time / Normal Quality / High Quality
VAD (voice active detection). If the VAD is turned on, audio will start recording after
the recording button (6) is pressed and sound is detected.
AGC (automatic gain control). If the AGC is turned on, the watch adjusts the
volume of the recording automatically for an optimum sound level.
System tools
Delete files - Select and delete files in the watch
Format - Format the internal memory and all data stored will be removed.
Settings of the watch are kept.
Reset - Reset all settings of the watch to factory default. The data in the internal
memory are kept.
System info - Shows the system information of the watch.
The watch turns off when it has been idle for 3 minutes.
Record
In this mode, you can record an audio file.
Press button (6) to start recording. If VAD is turned on, recording starts only after button (6) was pressed
and sound was detected.
Press button (6) to pause. Press button (6) again to continue the audio recording.
To end recording, press button (5). You will leave the record mode and enter voice mode for playing the
recorded audio files.
Ebook
In this mode, you can read the text files stored in the internal memory of the watch.
By pressing buttons (3) / (4), you can select the desired text document. Press button (6) to view the text.
Press buttons (3) / (4) to scroll up and down when you browse the text.
Press button (5) to return to then main menu.

Disposal
General
In order to preserve, protect and improve the quality of environment, protect human health and
utilise natural resources prudently and rationally, the user should return unserviceable product to
relevant facilities in accordance with statutory regulations.
The crossed-out wheeled bin indicates the product needs to be disposed separately and not as
municipal waste.
Batteries/ rechargeable batteries
The user is legally obliged (battery regulation) to return used batteries and rechargeable batteries.
Disposing used batteries in the household waste is prohibited! Batteries/ rechargeable
batteries containing hazardous substances are marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin. The
symbol indicates that the product is forbidden to be disposed via the domestic refuse. The
chemical symbols for the respective hazardous substances are Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury,
Pb = Lead.
You can return used batteries/ rechargeable batteries free of charge to any collecting point of your
local authority, our stores or where batteries/ rechargeable batteries are sold.
Consequently you comply with your legal obligations and contribute to environmental protection!
