Dans le cas d'un maniement incorrect (inversion des
pôles) l'accumulateur sera surchargé et détérioré.
L'accumulateur peut, dans le pire des cas, exploser
et provoquer de graves dommages.
c) Durée de charge en fonction de la capacité de l'accumulateur
En fonction de la capacité nominale (en règle générale indiquée sur
les accus), une charge prend env. entre 4 heures pour les accus 600
mah et 10 heures au maximum pour les accus 1500 mAh (accus de
type AA mignon). Respectez également le tableau des courants de
charge imprimé sur la face inférieure du boîtier du chargeur univer-
sel ou le tableau suivant :

Keep transmitters (radio phones, transmitters for model building
etc.) away from the charger because the incident transmitter emissi-
on may cause problems with the charging operation or destroy the
charger and thus also the rechargeable batteries.
Defective rechargeable batteries or batteries which can no longer
be recharged are to be disposed of properly as special waste (spe-
cial places of collection), not with the ordinary household waste.
If there is reason to believe that safe operation has become impos-
sible, the device is to be put out of operation and to be secured
against unintended use. It can be assumed that safe operation is no
longer possible if
- the device shows visible damages,
- the device no longer works and
- it was stored under unfavourable conditions for a longer period
of time or
- it was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport.
Never connect your universal charger to the mains immediately after
bringing it from a cold into a warm room. Under unfavourable condi-
tions the water caused by condensation may destroy your charger.
Let your device reach room temperature unplugged.
Presentation
The charger V-1268 was designed for four rechargeable micro or
mignon batteries. To avoid the undesired memory effect (loss of
capacity of rechargeable batteries), we recommend to discharge
your rechargeable NiCd batteries every time before recharging
them. This procedure is not required for rechargeable NiMH batte-
ries since a memory effect does not occur with this type of battery.
