18 | Cleaning the device and maintaining the filter
If the device is used for drying construction sites, it must be checked and cleaned after each use; the air filter
must be replaced at least once a week.
Proceed as follows to clean and check the condition of the device:
a) Turn off the device at the device switch.
b) Pull out the mains plug.
Clean the housing
a) Open the safety cover.
b) Clean the safety cover and the housing with a damp, lint-free cloth and a mild detergent. The original gloss
can be restored with polish.
c) Close the protective cover as set at the factory.
 The housing is now cleaned.

Cleaning the evaporator

CAUTION
Attention
 The device is switched off, the mains plug has been pulled out.
 The evaporator is now de-iced and dry.
a) Clean the cooling coils from both sides directly with compressed air.
In the event of greasy contaminants, you will need to clean the cooling coil wet. In addition:
a) Clean the condensate tray under the cooling coils and the condensate discharge hose below that.
b) Spray the cooling coils with a spray bottle of mild detergent and water.

Risk of injury from sharp edges and ice.
Ice may have formed on the evaporator. Sharp edges are exposed after removing the
protective cover.
a) Allow the evaporator to defrost and dry before starting work.
b) Wear protective gloves.
Risk of damage or injury at the cooling fins.
Incorrect cleaning may damage the cooling fins.
a) Never hold the compressed air gun too close to the cooling coils.
b) Never wash the cooling coil with a hose or pressure washing unit.
c) Ensure that no water can find its way into the electric module.
