External dust extraction
You can also attach a dust extraction hose (35 mm dia-
meter) to the chip ejector (22) for extraction.
The dust extractor must be suitable for the material being
worked.
When extracting dry dust that is especially detrimental to
health or carcinogenic, use a special dust extractor.
Changing the tool (see figures D1–D4)
Pull the plug out of the socket before carrying out any
u
work on the power tool.
Wear protective gloves when fitting the saw blade.
u
Danger of injury when touching the saw blade.
Only use saw blades the maximum permitted speed of
u
which is higher than the no-load speed of the power
tool.
Only use saw blades that match the specifications
u
given in this operating manual and that are tested and
marked in accordance with EN 847-1
Only use saw blades that are recommended by the
u
power tool manufacturer and are suitable for using on
the material you want to saw.
Removing the saw blade
– Bring the power tool into the work position.
– Turn the hex socket screw (33) using the hex key (24)
provided while pressing the spindle lock (28) until it en-
gages.
– Press and hold the spindle lock (28) and loosen the
screw (33) by turning it clockwise (left-hand thread).
– Remove the clamping flange (34).
– Push the lever (3) and swing the retracting blade guard
(5) back as far as it will go.
– Hold the retracting blade guard in this position and re-
move the saw blade (18).
– Slowly push the retracting blade guard back down.
Fitting the saw blade
If required, clean all the parts you want to fit before installing
them.
– Push the lever (3), swing the retracting blade guard (5)
back as far as it will go and hold it in this position.
– Place the new saw blade onto the interior clamping flange
(35).
When fitting the saw blade, make sure that the cutting
u
direction of the teeth (arrow direction on the saw
blade) matches the direction of the arrow on the pro-
tective guard.
– Slowly push the retracting blade guard back down.
– Put on the clamping flange (34) and the screw (33).
Press the spindle lock (28) until it engages and tighten
the screw by turning it anticlockwise.

Operation
Pull the plug out of the socket before carrying out any
u
work on the power tool.
Transport safety lock (see figure E)
The transport safety lock (26) makes it easier to handle the
power tool when transporting it to various working locations.
Unlocking the power tool (work position)
– Press the tool arm down slightly by the handle (1) to re-
lease the transport safety lock (26).
– Pull the transport safety lock (26) all the way out.
– Slowly guide the tool arm upwards.
Locking the power tool (transport position)
– To lock the saw table (12) in place, tighten the locking
knob (9).
– Push the lever (3) and swing the tool arm downwards by
the handle (1) at the same time until you can press the
transport safety lock (26) all the way in.
The tool arm is now securely locked and ready for transport-
ation.
Clamping the workpiece (see figure F)
To ensure maximum safety while working, the workpiece
must always be firmly clamped.
Do not saw workpieces that are too small to clamp firmly.
– Press the workpiece firmly against the fences (14) and
(6).
– Insert the supplied screw clamp (27) into one of the holes
(23) intended for this purpose.
– Loosen the wing bolt (36) and adjust the screw clamp to
the workpiece. Tighten the wing bolt again.
– Firmly clamp the workpiece by turning the threaded rod
(37).
Releasing the workpiece
– To loosen the screw clamp, turn the threaded rod (37)
anticlockwise.
Adjusting the mitre/bevel angle
Do not press the on/off switch (21) while adjusting
u
the mitre/bevel angle. If the power tool is accidentally
switched on as a result of this, injury can occur.
Adjusting the mitre angle (see figure G)
The mitre angle can be set between 48° (left side) and 48°
(right side).
– Loosen the locking knob (9) if it is tightened. This means
the saw table can now move freely.
– Turn the saw table (12) left or right by the locking knob
until the angle indicator (10) shows the required mitre
angle.
– Retighten the locking knob (9).
For quick and precise setting of commonly used mitre
angles, the saw table (12) clicks into place at the following
standard angles:
