ber tension declines when very cold or due to age).
To do this, remove the end cap and loosen the knot.
Tie a new knot at a place farther away from the end
(W).

Depending on the model, VAUDE tents feature the

SILICONISED:
• 20% longer tent life – the triple coating reflects da-
maging UV radiation significantly better than con-
ventional treatments.
• 8 times more resistant to tears – siliconized fabrics
provide tear resistance of 8-11 kg compared to 1.3
kg of PU coated fabrics.
• Optimal beading properties – water simply beads
on the surface.
• Retensioning – the polyamide carrier material
swells up upon contact with moisture. The tent
must therefore be retensioned in case of rain or
snow.
• Sealing – siliconized materials cannot be facto-
ry seam sealed. When camping in extremely rai-
ny conditions, we recommend sealing all seams
by hand with VAUDE silicone seam sealer (art. no.
30284).

• High resistance to tearing due to tensile polyamide
fabric embedded with reinforcing fibres.
• Triple silicon coating to the outer and inner surfaces
for maximum tear-resistance and water run off, as
