Faults

If the fault cannot be eliminated with the help of the fault table, please inform Customer Service.
Please specify the type of centrifuge and the serial number. Both numbers can be found on the name plate of the
centrifuge.
Perform a MAINS RESET:
 Switch off the mains switch (switch position "0").
 Wait at least 10 seconds and then switch on the mains switch again (switch position "  ").

Cause
--- No voltage.
Overvoltage protection tripped out (only for
types 5005-08).
01 Faulty speedometer.
02 No rotor installed.
Defective motor, frequency converter or
drive.
--- The rotor is unevenly loaded.
04, Error in lid locking or lid closure.
05 Rotation too fast
13 Rotation too slow
10 Incorrect rotor coding
--- Power failure during the centrifugation run.
(The centrifugation run was not finished.)
12 Mismatch between electronic components

96 Speed in the selected program greater than
the maximum speed of the rotor (n-max-
Rotor).
The rotor has been changed. The
maximum speed of the installed rotor is
higher than that of the rotor that was
previously used and this has not yet been
detected by rotor recognition.
Remedy
 Check supply voltage.
 Mains switch ON.
 Open the cover.
 Switch off the mains switch
(switch position "0").
 Wait at least 10 seconds.
 Turn the rotor vigorously by hand.
 Switch on the mains switch again
(switch position "  "). The rotor
must turn during switch-on.
 Open lid.
 Check the loading of the rotor,
see chapter "Loading the rotor".
 Repeat the centrifugation run.
 Perform a MAINS RESET.
 Open lid.
 Push
button.

 Repeat the centrifugation run if
necessary.
 Perform a MAINS RESET.
 Check the set speed.
Reduce the set speed
 Set a speed up to the maximum
speed of the rotor that was
previously used. Press the
key to run rotor recognition. See
chapter, "Rotor Recognition".
