LENS SETTINGS

A Zoom speed settings
(ZOOM SPEED)(See p22)
The following zoom speeds can be selected for the lens.
• HIGH: High zoom speed (default setting)
• LOW: ª ²  ª ª  ® « ¦ ¦ ¥
B Electronic zoom maximum ratio
settings (EL ZOOM)(See p22)
The following maximum electronic zoom ratios can be
selected.
• OFF: Electronic zoom is not carried out (default setting).
• 16X/8X/4X/2X: Electronic zoom is set to a maximum of
16x, 8x, 4x or 2x.
C Automatic restore mode settings
(JOYSTICK AUTO)(See p22)
This lets you set whether operation returns to automatic focus
and automatic iris if you use the joystick lever or zoom lever
to move the camera while manual focus or manual iris are
being used.
The following selections are available.
• BOTH: Automatic focus and automatic iris are both
restored (default setting).
• NONE: Neither are restored.
• IRIS: Only automatic iris is restored.
• FOCUS: Only automatic focus is restored.
D Automatic focus restore time
settings (AUTO FOCUS)(See p23)
This lets you set the time taken for automatic focus to be
restored after the FOCUS button on the system controller is
pressed to carry out manual focus operations.
The following selections are available.
• OFF: Does not switch to automatic focus.
• 001–255: Automatic focus is restored after 1–255
seconds. (Default setting: 5 seconds)

E Automatic iris restore time
setting (AUTO IRIS)(See p23)
This lets you set the time taken for automatic iris to be
restored after the IRIS button on the system controller is
pressed to carry out manual iris operations.
The following selections are available.
• OFF: Does not switch to automatic iris.
• 001–255: Automatic iris is restored after 1–255 seconds.
(Default setting: 5 seconds)
F Iris level settings (IRIS LEVEL)

This sets the standard level (000–100) for the automatic iris.
The larger the value, the brighter are the images.
• 000–100: Set the automatic iris sensitivity to a setting
between 000 and 100. (Default setting: 040)
G Day/Night settings (DAY/NIGHT)
(VCC-9100P series only)
(See p24)
The day/night function automatically switches between color
and black-and-white images according to changes in the
ambient light intensity. When you use this function, color
images are taken during bright daylight hours, and
black-and-white images are taken during darker nighttime
hours. You can also fix the setting to color or black-and-white
without using the automatic switching function.
• AUTO: Activates the day/night function (automatic
switching) (default setting)
• COLOR: Monitored images are always in color
regardless of the brightness.
• B/W: Monitored images are always in black-and-white
regardless of the brightness.
NOTE: If using infrared illumination, monitoring may switch
automatically from black-and-white to color if a lot of
light is reflected from the object being illuminated. Set
up the infrared illumination in a place where it will not
interfere with monitoring.
