8. Repeat the steps for level and sound adjustments for the other connected input channels as described
above.

6.2 Basic adjustment of the output channels

The output signal is fed to the adjustable outputs MASTER and ZONE and to the recording output REC
without individual level control.
1. LED output meter indicates the level of the signal at the outputs MASTER. Via the output meter, adjust
the desired level with the control MASTER VOLUME. Usually an optimum level control is obtained if the
output meter shows values in the 0 dB range at average volume. However, if the output level at the
master outputs is too high for the following unit, the master signal must be controlled to a corresponding
lower level.
2. Adjust the desired signal level for the output ZONE with the control ZONE VOLUME.
3. Adjust the balance for the outputs MASTER and ZONE with the control BALANCE.
4. The recording signal at the output REC is taken off ahead of the output controls, i.e. it is not affected by
the controls MASTER VOLUME and ZONE VOLUME.

6.3 Crossfading between two channels

The crossfader allows crossfading between two of the channels 1-5.
1. Use the assignment selectors to assign the two channels to the left side of the crossfader or to the right
side of the crossfader.
2. Control the two channels to an optimum level and switch off the stereo audio sources which are not used
or set them to pause.
3. Now crossfading between the two channels is possible:
crossfader moved to the left: fade-in of the channel switched to the left side of the crossfader and fade-
out of the channel switched to the right side of the crossfader
crossfader moved to the right: fade-in of the channel switched to the right side of the crossfader and
fade-out of the channel switched to the left side of the crossfader.

6.4 Mixing the connected audio sources

1. Set the assignment selector to "OFF".
2. Use the channel faders of the input channels to adjust the desired volume ratio of the audio sources to
one another. If a channel is not used, its fader should be set to position "0".

6.5 Announcements via the DJ microphone

1. To switch on the DJ microphone at the jack DJ MIC set the selectors switch to "ON" (control LED lights).
2. To improve the audibility of an announcement during the current music program activate the talkover
function. Set the selector switch to "AUTO TALKOVER" (control LED lights); then during a microphone
announcement, the levels of channels 1 to 5 are automatically attenuated by 16 dB.
3. Adjust the volume of the microphone announcement with the control VOLUME.
4. Adjust the desired sound with the tone controls. By adjusting both tone controls, the high frequencies
(control HIGH) and the low frequencies (control LOW) can be boosted or attenuated (± 12 dB).
5. To switch off the DJ microphone set the selector switch to "OFF" (control LED off).

6.6 Prefader listening to the channels

The cue function allows to monitor each of the channels 1-5 via headphones even if the corresponding
channel is faded out. Thus, it is possible, e. g. to time the moment for fading in an audio source.
Alternatively it is also possible to monitor the current music program ahead of the output controls MASTER
VOLUME and ZONE VOLUME.
1. For prefader listening to a channel, set the corresponding CUE switch (control indicator lights) and set
the CUE/PGM fader to the left position "CUE". To monitor the current music program ahead of the output
controls, set the CUE/PGM fader to the right position "PGM".
2. Adjust the desired headphone volume with the control CUE VOLUME.
