Use the specified motor oil (Usable
fuels and lubricants ).
WARNING!
Risk of injury!
The product must only be put into operation if
no defects are found. Ensure that any defective
parts are replaced before the product is used
again.
Note:
We recommend filling the oil tank to maximum
(max. engine oil quantity: Technical data)
Check the safe condition of the device:
– Check whether there is any leakage.
– Check whether there are any visible defects.
– Check whether all parts of the product are
firmly attached.
– Check that the safety devices are in faultless
condition.
Set the cutting height (fig. 8)
– Loosen the screw on the skids (10).
– By shifting the skids in the long hole,
adjust the desired cutting height.
– Tighten the screw on the skids.
– You will find the details regarding the cutting
height in the following table:

Starting the motor
DANGER!
Danger of fire!
Spilled fuel can set the product on fire.
Carefully wipe up any spilled fuel up before
starting.
Start the product a minimum of nine metres
away from where you filled it.
Before starting, it must be guaranteed that
none of the two clutch levers can be actuated
unintentionally.

Cold starting the motor
– Position the throttle lever (18) in Position
(fig. 10)
Note:
Pull the pull-starter max. 50 cm out and let it run
back in slowly by hand.
– Slow pull out the pull starter (13) until you
feel a resistance, then quickly and forcefully,
until the initial ignition noise can be
heard.
– Pull out the pull starter again quickly and
forcefully until the motor starts up.
– Allow the engine to warm up for approx.
10–15 seconds.
Switching off the motor
WARNING!
Risk of injury!
Always switch off the product when not in use for
short periods.
– Pull the fuel lever (5) into the back position (fig.
10).
Mowing
CAUTION!
Risk of injury!
Start the engine
Switch on the cutter (fig. 9)
• The cutter may not move if the clutch
lever (6) is released.
• The clutch lever (6) can be actuated only
after the safety lock (7) is activated.
• Upon activation, the cutter (11) must start
running and stop upon release.
– Actuate the clutch lever (6) for cutter slowly up
