Device-specific safety instructions
• All parts of the product must be correctly
installed to ensure faultless operation.
• Before beginning work, check the terrain and
remove all objects that may be flung
out by the product.
• When working with the product, always make
sure that you are standing firmly and have a
natural posture.
• When starting, neither tilt nor raise the
equipment and always position yourself
behind the equipment, thus in operating
position.
• Operate device only in the walking space.
• Only work when light and visibility are good.
• The operator must wear tight-fitting clothing.
Avoid wearing loose clothing. Wear sturdy shoes
and long trousers.
• Always work across slopes, never up or down
the slope.
• Never work on extremely steep slopes.
• Be careful especially while changing the
direction of motion on slopes.
• Take care when walking backwards.
Danger of stumbling!
• Never place your hands or feet on or under
rotating parts.
• Exercise caution with tools that run-on.
Before commencing work on these tools,
wait until they have come to a complete
standstill!
• Pay attention to local regulations for rest
periods.
• Symbols appearing on your device may
not be removed or covered. Signs on the

device that are no longer legible must be
replaced immediately.
Read and observe the instructions
for use before using the product for
the first time.
Danger due to foreign bodies being
thrown out.
Maintain a safe distance from persons
standing around.
Be careful when handling lubricants
and fuels!
Before carrying out any maintenance
work, remove the ignition cable
and read the operating instructions.
Caution, sharp blades. The cutting
blades continue to rotate after the
motor has been switched off.
Touch parts only then when they are
completely stopped.
Protect the device from wet conditions.
Store in a dry location.
Petrol motors produce carbon monoxide.
Do not use indoors.
Risk of burns! Do not touch any of
the motor parts during or shortly after
operation. These parts become
extremely hot during operation. Residual
heat still remains for a while
even after operation.
Petrol is highly flammable. Before
topping up fuel, allow the motor to
cool down for at least 5 minutes.
