re than 36sqm. The smoke alarm device
with radio link should always be instal-
led at a distance of less than 6 meters
to a possible source of fire so that the
smoke or fire temperature can reach
the device quickly and the smoke alarm
device with radio link can react by sen-
ding out the alarm signal in time during
an ensuing fire. Normally, the shorter
the distance between the smoke alarm
device with radio link and fire, the qui-
cker the alarm to warn you of the fire.
An ideal installation is when the
devices are installed in all other oc-
en
cupied rooms and in the stairwells as
well (Illus. 4). This device is also sui-
table for your kitchen (source of fire
Number 1!).
Installing a smoke alarm device with
radio link is not imperative in wash
rooms (bathrooms and toilets etc.)
because there is little risk of fire here,
but it is also not completely irrelevant
if there are electrical devices being
used (e.g. hair dryer, washing machine)
and combustible objects are also being
protected.
In case of a fire, this smoke alarm de-
vice with radio link identifies the rising
smoke from the fire and the related
rise in temperature very quickly. The
device sends out a loud alarm to signal
you of the situation.
