Switching the speaker on and connecting
a Bluetooth device
1. Hold down [
This means that the speaker is detectable for other devices.
2. Activate Bluetooth on the device to be paired with the speaker.
3. The speaker will appear in the list of devices on your Bluetooth device as BC168,
select it and connect it to your device (refer to the manual of your device if you are
unsure). Note: If you are prompted to enter a PIN code on your Bluetooth device,
you should enter 0000 (four zeroes). Certain Bluetooth devices may also require
you to approve the connection.
4. The speaker will emit an audible signal and the function indicator will change to
a slowly flashing blue.
5. Start playback on the Bluetooth device. The volume level and track can be
changed on either the speaker or on your external device.
6. If the Bluetooth connection is broken or if you wish to change to another device,
disable the Bluetooth function on the first device and hold down [ ►ll ] until the LED
flashes blue. Go through the connection procedure listed above to pair the speaker
with the new device.
7. Switch the speaker off by holding down [

Dealing with an incoming call
If your mobile phone is connected to the speaker via Bluetooth and you receive a call,
the speaker can be used for having the conversation via the speaker, handsfree.
Any audio playback you are listening to will be interrupted when an incoming call is
received and will resume after the call has finished.
To answer the call: press [ ►ll ].

To reject the call: Hold down [ ►ll ] for 3 seconds.

Care and maintenance
• The speaker can withstand normal rain showers and water splashes but should
not be subjected to jets of water or immersion into water or other liquid.
• Wipe the speaker clean with a dry cloth as and when required.
• If the speaker is not to be used for a long time, the battery should be fully charged
every second month to maintain its capacity.
• Store the speaker indoors, in a dry, dust-free place out of children's reach.
