Connect the optional data cable on the rear 9-pole D-SUB socket (13) of the power supply unit with the
RS-232 interface on your computer. Make sure it is plugged properly.
Switch on the power supply unit and your computer.

Software installation

Insert the software CD supplied in the relevant drive and close it. Select the corresponding drive and
open the folder „PSP1xxx-setup". The „x" correspond to the type of you model.
Start the program „setup.exe".
The installation manager guides you automatically through the installation. Follow the instructions on the
screen. After successful installation, you will find the program in the Windows® start menu, programs,
folder „PSPxxxx", program „PSPxxxx Control Panel".
Start the program.
After the program was started, the display of the power supply unit shows „Remote Locked". Manual set-
ting on the power supply unit are no longer possible.

Software

Via the program „PSPxxxx Control Panel", you can set the limit values for the voltage (Umax), current
(Imax) and capacity (Pmax). These values are applied by pressing the button „Set".
Square function
Via „square function", the software allows the control of the DC output as square generator.
It is possible to set two different voltage levels with different pulse widths (runtimes). The time „T1/T2" is
input in seconds, the voltage in steps of 1 Volt.
To activate this function, press the button „OFF" in the „Square Function" field. Another press switches
the function off.
Changes of voltage and time only become active if the square function is activated again (press „ON"
and „OFF" after changes).
Do not switch the laboratory power supply unit off until the software control is terminated
on the computer.
