• The button „Select" (10) for the function „Unlock" deactivates the input
lock again. To do so, keep the button depressed for approx. 1 second.
The display briefly shows „Keyboard Unlocked".
• The button „MENU" (11) switches back to the first setting function.
Connecting a device
Ensure a sufficient cable diameter for the intended current. Only double-insulated
accessories may be used as of 75 V/DC for safety reasons. Avoid short circuits. This
may lead to sparks, which damage the connection sockets and the connected
cables.
Make sure the consumer is switched off.
• Set the parameters according to your specifications.
• Verify that the correct output voltage has been set.
• Connect the plus pole (+) of the consumer to the red terminal screw jack „+" (6) and
• the minus pole (-) of the consumer to the black terminal jack „-" (5).
• Activate the voltage output by pressing the button „OUTPUT ON" (8). The display (7) for the active out-
put is lit. Each press changes the status at the output.
• Now you can switch on the connected consumer.
• The current consumption of the connected consumer is displayed in the power display „Io".

Control via software

The laboratory power pack unit has a serial interface (RS-232). Via this interface, you can set and con-
trol all parameters on the power pack unit. With activated software control, the manual operation on the
device is deactivated. The display shows „Remote locked".
For data connection to the computer, you require an optional RS-232 connection cable,
9-pole, D-SUB plug to 9-pole D-SUB socket (e.g. order no. 981281).

Establishing the data connection

Prior to connecting the data cable, you have to turn the computer and the power unit
off. Plugging in the RS-232 data cable during operation may damage the interface.
