Installation
Novell openSUSE Linux 13.1 installation DVD when used in internal DVD/CD-ROM drive.
Boot via BIOS Boot Manager: Legacy CD ROM
Use of default settings for the BIOS:
● Installation with ACPI
● Intel Software RAID initiated (Crtl-I at boot) and then deactivated in BIOS
Advanced > SATA Configuration > HDC Configure as <AHCI>

GRUB has been installed in the EXT4 partition.
