3. Installing the Ethernet-Interface

1. Remove the Ethernet-Interface out of the antistatic wrapping.
Try to touch only the side of the interface-card, if possible
2. The physical address (MAC address)is printed on a sticker which is on the RJ45 connection
socket of the interface-card. Each Ethernet-Interface has its individual, unequivocal address,
which consists of 6 bytes.
Note this address as it is printed on the label (g. g. with
seperators etc.) before installing the interface.
The stickers can look like this:
In this example, the MAC-address is: 00204A812CC7
The address can contain hyphens or colons as seperators between the individual bytes:

00-20-4A-81-2C-C7
3. Plug the Ethernet-Interface into the interface slot.
Installing the Ethernet-Interface is only allowed to be done in de-energized
state.
For installing the interface-card in external bus-controllers or ACS-2/8 see
also the corresponing manuals.

4. Fix the interface card with the fixing screw.
5. Connect the Ethernet cable to the RJ45-socket.
