7.4 Cleaning the motor
protection filter
Check the motor protection filter every six
months. Clean the filter if it is dirty.
Follow steps 1 to 3 in section 'Emptying the

dust container' to remove the dust container
compartment cover and take out the dust
container.
Remove the motor protection filter from

the robot and clean it with a regular vacuum
cleaner.
Place the motor protection filter back.

Follow steps 7 to 9 in section 'Emptying the

dust container' to place the dust container
back into the robot and to place the dust
container compartment cover back onto the
robot.

7.5 Cleaning the roller brush

For the best results, clean the roller brush
when hair is entangled round it.
Turn the robot upside down on the floor or

on a table.
Press the latch hooks on both sides of the

roller brush retainer towards each other to
unlock the retainer.
Lift the roller brush retainer out of the robot.

To remove the roller brush, lift the left-hand

side out of the robot (1) and then pull the
right-hand side out of the bearing block (2).
